NO WAY! NO HOW! We want to keep Haley here!
There were couple of names in the article that I think need to be identified to the world.

Wayne Dowdy, chairman of the Mississippi Democratic Party
For those of you that have not been fortunate enough to hear Mr Dowdy on the radio, This is probably the dumbest man ever to hold public office or even a political job. he alone has created more Republican voters in this state than Ronald Reagan, George Bush and Abraham Lincoln combined.

Veteran journalist Bill Minor of Jackson
Nother good one. Mr Minor has been touting the Democrat party since Theodore Bilbo was the senior Senator. After three years of reading his column, I now understand that ALL Democrats were against segregation and all those "Jim Crow" laws imposed by the evil Republicans. Even though no Republican was elected in this state for over 100 years after the unCivil War. Damnest thing, all of his cohorts were staunch civil rights activist.
He is a hoot to read. Plus the media in this state treat him like a god.

"Then you are a fool."

No he is not. Just another Republican that is tired of the Ruling Class shoving their candidate down our throat. As in 1996.</p>

Apparently it is the lower white middle class that warms so snugly to the Clintons. Apparently they are still convinced that the Clintons will in time do something "for them." Of course, the upper class feminists adore the "odd couple" too.

And, wasn't it Dowdy whom Trent Lott defeated to succeed the late popular John C. Stennis?

"And, wasn't it Dowdy whom Trent Lott defeated to succeed the late popular John C. Stennis?"

That was before I moved back here. But that could explain Trent Lott being elected. he was the less funny of the two clowns.

John Stennis, another pro civil rights (NOT!) friend of Bill Minor.

It was revealed after his death that the late Senator James O. Eastland had been a secret member of the NAACP. I don't know if that applied for the even more popular Stennis or not.

Well, Minor is right about this...

Veteran journalist Bill Minor of Jackson, who's covered every Mississippi politician since the 1947 burial of Theodore Bilbo, said he believes Hillary Clinton will lose the nomination because too many hate her.

"Some of the nastiest letters I've ever received came after I mentioned her in a favorable light," Minor said.

I've been saying this for a long time now . . . Shrillary is the most divisive political figure in national politics. She absolutely cannot win their nomination.

"It was revealed after his death that the late Senator James O. Eastland had been a secret member of the NAACP."

I did not know that. I was completly fooled.
Are you sure? It might have beem the NCAA and not the NAACP. It is pretty easy to confuse these initialed organizations.

Basically I'm looking for

1) A Leader

2) A Conservative

3) Someone that isn't intimidated by the MSM/Dems

4) Someone of Character

The reason I now have Haley in my tagline is because he's the first person I've seen demonstrate these qualities. We have some Liberals running. We have some conservatives running. We have NO Leaders running, they all are following the polls sticking their fingers in the air. Well, scratch that. There is one Leader running and his name is Guiliani. But I assume we would all prefer a conservative on the top of the ticket.

Haley has a presence onscreen. He's a Governor from the South, which in electoral wins is a better place to start from then someone from the Senate or NorthEast. Preferably Governors from the South or MidWestern states are the optimum pools to draw from in elections. Another reason I'm not sure Hillary has the nomination, a NorthEast Senator hasn't won since JFK- and his first election was questionable. Their two last winning candidates came from the South.

I say this but also put out last time Haley was asked he expresed no intentions of running. This before the storm a few months ago. I also have Honore in my tag, and I don't even know if he's a Republican. LOL I just like that he's straight forward, get's the job done, and has the qualities, imo, that make Cheney effective and should be sought for a Vice pick. But my tag is more an example of what I'm seeking from those running for '08 then a set in stone option.

I want the other candidates running for the RNC nod to look at Barbour, and look at Honore, and understand why they are getting favorable reviews from the base even though neither has shown signs of running (especially Honore who will likely stay in service to his country from within the military). Stop looking at polls. Stop trashing this President. Start Leading based on conservative principles rather than coming out a week later with a tight focus grouped response. Stop kissing up to the MSM and Hillary. Stop running Left and start acting like Conservative Republicans. Except, in Rudy's case, he's a Liberal Republican and has no choice really. But at least he, unlike some of the "conservatives", has made attempts to reach out to conservatives in the Party.

So far, the only Republicans impressing me for '08 are Governors that haven't announced they'll even run! That includes Haley, Riley, Perry, Jeb is a Leader but he won't be running obviously...

I can envision a George Allen/Rudy Giuliani ticket.

It won't happen.

Allen will get the nomination, but he and Rudy have way to many differances for him to be on the VP slot.

Add to that that Rudys ego would never ever let him be 2nd fiddle.

My personal pick, Allen and Watts.

Rudy and McCain and Pataki will wind up with terrible numbers from splitting off votes from each other (not to mention Hagel).

She exhibits signs of extreme narcissism, which makes it really hard for her to be effective as she has such high emotional needs that she can't absorb bad news without blaming someone else.

LOL

Thats an understatement.

According to her, when she was 12 years old, she wrote a 26 page autobiography.

She was also a Barry Goldwater supporter and confrontational about it, considering it a personal insult if you didn't like him.

She became a lefty, but she never changed her "political is personal" attitude.

Thank the good lord she is a moron, otherwise she might actually have a shot at the white house.

Even the DUmmies think lowly of her.

When one proposes to take a foolish step and is told that to do so makes one a fool it is less than truthful to point that out. Note the "Then..." in the statement. If I made the same statement and carried it out Then I would be a fool.
