Kerry Staffers Brace for New Film
Taegan Goddard's Political Wire ^ | September 26, 2005 | Lloyd Grove

Posted on 09/26/2005 9:47:02 AM PDT by granite

Lloyd Grove says Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) loyalists "are kicking themselves for cooperating last year with filmmaker Steve Rosenbaum on Inside the Bubble, a potentially devastating behind-the-scenes look at the Massachusetts senator's failed presidential campaign."

"I'm also told that Hillary Clinton partisans are licking their chops to see the film, which 'could end up being the silver bullet that kills Kerry's presidential chances for 2008."

The film won't be seen publicly until Thursday, but a press release claims the movie "turns a harsh but deeply revealing mirror on the campaign ... a disorganized, contentious, self-absorbed team that thought they could win by 'not making mistakes,' and keeping their candidate in the public eye without clarifying a position on anything."

Key highlights from those who've seen it privately: "Clinton scowling and rolling her eyes over an apparent Kerry gaffe during a presidential debate; Kerry pretending to interview himself and babbling in Italian while waiting for a real interview to begin; Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) cursing at reporters during a campaign stop, and Kerry message guru Robert Shrum confidently declaring a few days before the 2004 election: 'Zogby just announced who's gonna win. Us!'"

"Kerry is going to 'run' again?"

He has already said "The '08 nomination is mine." His arrogance is going to make for a fun 'Rat primary...

""Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) cursing at reporters during a campaign stop"
Gee, how come we never heard this reported?"

It's amazes me how much abuse the MSM will take from Democrats, like the time Clinton took Sam Donaldson to the woodshed for asking an uncomfortable question at a presidential press conference. How they can deny bias with a straight face always cracks me up.

The next "Spinal Tap" (though ST was a fictitious band)!

Ian Faith: The Boston gig has been cancelled...

David St. Hubbins: What?

Ian Faith: Yeah. I wouldn't worry about it though, it's not a big college town.

I'm sure the flick will be sKerry... rock me!

I'm sure J.F.K.'s staffers are more worried about their jobs if the flick makes their boss look like a bafoon-fool to the Bean-towners.

Speaking of Bean Town... go Yankees... beat the hell out of the Botoxes!

Classic SNL '88 commercials:

[ show each President's head encircled over a North European country ]

Announcer: Franklin Delano Roosevelt was of white northern European heritage.

Thomas Jefferson was of white northern European heritage.

John F. Kennedy was of white northern European heritage.

George Herbert Walker Bush is of white northern European heritage.

[ show Dukakis' encircled just above the Mediterranean Sea ]

But Michael Dukakis?

Bush. He's whiter.

[ show image of each President standing before a police line-up replica ]

Announcer: John F. Kennedy was six-foot-one.

Abraham Lincoln was six-foot-five.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt was six-foot-one.

George Bush is six-foot-two.

But Michael Dukakis is five-foot-five-and-a-half.

Bush. He's taller.

[ show each President's head in front of an American flag ]

Announcer: John F. Kennedy's parents were born in America.

Abraham Lincoln's parents were born in America.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt's parents were born in America.

George Bush's parents were born in America.

[ show Dukakis' head in front of a Greek flag ]

But Michael Dukakis' parents?

Bush. His parents were born in America.

So it is going to be about the obvious.

Which is what I like to tell liberals these days: You thought Bush was such a dummy, but if that's true, what does that say about Kerry who couldn't beat him in the election? If Kerry was so good he should have won, and won SOUNDLY.

I honestly think the Clintons were behind Kerry getting the nomination. They didn't want a democrat president cause it would mean Hillary would have to wait till 2012 to run. She felt her best chances were in 08. They deliberately picked Kerry to ensure a Bush win. But the dem poll workers and operatives didn't get the message and cheated for Kerry big time. I bet if every vote had been a legal vote and correctly counted, Bush would have won by a landslide. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if the Clintons actually voted for Bush.

Found online, from April of 2004:

Rosenbaum and producer Doug Davis began putting word out to distributors at the start of shooting the "Bubble" project, which is budgeted at under $1 million. The filmmakers, who are planning a Sept. 15 (-_2004!_) release, say interest from leading specialty distribs has been high. A deal is expected to be closed before summer.

"There's no intention to make a film that's either controversial or a political endorsement," Rosenbaum said. "This cannot be a political commercial or we lose. This has to be honest, revealing, questioning, fun and entertaining. It has to show the ride of the campaign experience with all the peaks and valleys."

Rosenbaum acknowledges the film's shelf life will depend largely on whether Kerry wins or loses Nov. 2. However, he feels confident the project's modest budget plus P&A costs can be recouped in a two-month theatrical run during the election runup. Possibility of a DVD overlap with the theatrical release also is being studied.

have heard that theory before, too...she couldn't beat W
running for re-election so she could just wait for '08
and let Kerry take the fall.

No big time political campaign should ever allow anyone a behind the scenes look. There are only two images big time politial movers ever project during a campaign: cut throat evil, or incompitent stupidity. Either way you're going to look bad when the movie comes out.

Thats my take on it. Kerry was nearly dead last in the primary polls and suddenly comes up with a win? Very unlikely.

This is a beast hillary plant, the clintons' knew he would lose and attempt a comeback in 2008. They took out Dean with those Canadian tapes; 200 tapes were reviewed by his staff, one was missing and of course it was the tape that had him calling Iowans dumb and their primary and N.H.'s were useless.
