Does gun-play, car chases, and girls in uhhh, dramatic poses count?

I agree that she's a wonderful actress. The Carmela character is one of the most complex, and hilariously funny, hypocrites ever created. She joyously wallows in the luxury and power Tony's "profession" enables her to enjoy while simultaneously going to church and agonizing with various priests over the guilt feelings she's suffering. In the first episode of the first season she hears somebody trying to get into the second floor, grabs an AK, chambers a round, goes out and points it at Meadow, her daughter, who's trying to sneak in. Then, when Tony decides AJ needs more discipline in his life and tries to send him to a military academy, Carmela loudly protests, complaining that they actually DRILL WITH GUNS. Writing just doesn't get any better than that, and Edie manages to pull it off as Carmela.

Yeah, the writing on this show is great that way.

After writing the post I just sent you, it struck me that Edie does such a good job of playing Carmela because Edie has a similarly perverse, hypocritical, world view. She sees no harm in playing a character who enables a murdering thug but is horrified when that character says something favorable about President Bush. That's an awful lot like Carmela using an AK to defend her house and profiting from Tony's "profession" but being horrified at the prospect of AJ going to military school and DRILLING WITH GUNS.

I am not sure whether you are being sarcastic...we really need a special font.

I was referring to her membership in Mothers Opposing Bush.

What I really like about the humor is it's so dry. Nobody mugs for the camera or attempts to get laughs. It just comes out naturally from the script, who they are, and what they're doing. That shows real writing skill.

Does she have any children, or is this just another meaningless liberal abuse of an honored title.

Wiki: "She is a survivor of breast cancer, and in December of 2004 she adopted a son, named Anderson Falco ("Anderson" is for Edie's mother's maiden name)."

The thought made Bush-phobic Falco ill …

Sounds like a conservative writer heard of her phobia and decided to have some fun... :)

Say anything you wish, I don't care. Edie Falco is HOT!

Let me guess: You typically have 5 or 6 beers in you when you watch the Sopranos?

This is nonsense. It's a fictional character and a fictional vote. This is the kind of thing that whiny liberals worry about.

I love Silvio.

He dropped a few notches when he was so mean spirited about whacking Adriana. I would have thought he would show a hint of regret about having to do it. I don't recall him ever committing a violent act in the series before.

Based on previous info and this, she was using it as just a false title, during the election. That just makes me ill.

Edie Falco is a vile person in real life who also has serious mental problems. She takes all kinds of anti-depressants, admits that she purposely likes to date married men, etc.

Source? Wow, you must spend a lot of time reading the tabloids to come up with that information. I admit to watching Entertainment TV maybe once a week but I've never heard anything of the sort. That's Us magazine or InTouch quality info there. Do you have anything to back that up or do we just take your word for it?

"This isn't that Falco, is it?"

You boob. Falco was the quarterback in the movie "The Replacements." :)
