WASHINGTON -- Anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan met with a prominent lawmaker who supports the Iraq war.
Sheehan thanked Sen. John McCain for meeting with her Tuesday, but she came away disappointed.
Sheehan, who calls the Vietnam veteran a "warmonger," said "he tried to tell us what George Bush would have said."
"I don't believe he believes what he was telling me," Sheehan said.
The Arizona Republican also seemed disappointed in the Washington meeting.
He said it had been misrepresented to him as including some of his constituents. Only one person in Sheehan's small delegation had ties to Arizona, and that person no longer lives there.
McCain said he might not have met with Sheehan had he known none of his constituents was in the group.

More proof that McCain is a traitor
I saw her being carried away by the police, laughing, the other day. She is insane.
Gee, I heard Little Chrissy Matthews wet his pants over it. LMAO
lol - McCain would be funnier if he weren't in the senate and actually had some power.
the fact that he met with her ticks me off
YHGTBSM. McCain is more of a media whore than CS is. He knew darn well what he was signing up for.
McCain isn't getting the nomination in 2008.
No matter how many stupid press tricks he performs.
Meeting with Cindy Sheehan? You know better.
Shame on you, Senator McCain.
Nice job, McNutBurger! Now you went and added some extra minutes on Sheehan's 15 minutes of fame. AND you gave her an additional bit of legitimacy she didn't have before.
President Bush DID meet with Sheehan - so she DOES know just what the President ALREADY DID tell her. McIdiot.
The fruitcake meets the RINO.
I heard him on Sean's show today. He said he'd met with her. While she was reasonably polite to him, they agreed to disagree...
Then, he said, she went outside and gave a presser and said he was a warmonger.
FWIW
McCain disgusts me, but the fact that Sheehan went away unhappy and McCain wishes they hadn't met, doesn't support your accusation.
What would their kid's look like?
McCain vs. Sheehan. I really don't have a dog in this fight. Sheehan is on her way to self-destruction, and McCain was looking for a faux president moment, I think, to give a subtle snub to Pres. Bush.
Hannity had him on today I believe but didn't mention anything about this "meeting".
Unless I am wrong and miss it, WTF is wrong with hannity and why didn't he ask the FINE Senator about his meeting???
No proof needed.
Finally, something Cindy and I can agree with.
