Delay's lawyers will most likely ask to move the trial out of Travis County knowing what kind of moonbats live there.

I believe I read that Mrs. Earle was once an employee of former Democrat icon Governor Ann Willis Richards.

Please post a copy of the indictment.

All this talk and I haven't seen a copy of the indictment on either thread, just blowhard comments.

A typical republican might, but I don't see Delay doing that... he's a fighter.

Earle went thru five grand juries until he finally hit indictment dirt with this sixth one.

My bets remain on DeLay.

how's that working out for them?

I'd say pretty damn well. Hillary will probably be their nominee in '08 and has a real chance of winning and ted Kennedy is in his what 6th term?

This is from Travis County, TX. Isn't Travis County where Dan Rather's phoney docs came from?

I believe the phony documents came out of Taylor County, said to be the third most Republican county in the nation.

The question of why there is no link to Delay in the indictment was just brought up to Earle

He couldn't answer the question of what proof he had

Who believes in a coincidence like this...House and Senate Majority Leaders BOTH with serious accusations that have nothing of substance to back the charges at the same time.

Bush needs to appoint me to the Supreme Court. I don't know a thing about the constitution, but I know right from wrong. I can read. And it wouldn't take long for the left to get the meaning of what I would rule.

Seriously, Bush needs to appoint Luddig or Jones who are young and very, very conservative, and who don't give a damn about the Georgetown cocktail parties. The next appointment by Bush will be the defining act of his presidency. I hope he lets his nutsack hang low.

House GOP rules state that any House member who is indicted must stand down.

After reading the indictment myself, I see that not only is DeLay not directly implicated in any wrongdoing alleged in the indictment, he also waived his right to have the charges against him dismissed on statute-of-limitations grounds.

In other words, DeLay is saying "I could have these charges dismissed since you're past the 3 year statute of limitations for these alleged acts, but I'll let the charges stand. Prosecute if you like, I know I'm innocent."

I have alot of respect for Mark Levin, but if Tom De Lay did something wrong I think he should be treated like anyone else.

I'd be satisfied to see DeLay in prison just for this. Had just about enough of these fraudulent Big Stupid Government aholes.

Delay is accused to have committed conspiracy to violate Texas election code. Contributing corporate money to candidates is illegal in Texas. The assertion is made that money was laundered thru the state GOP and funneled back to Republican candidates.

Bunkum.

"This is encouraging to read. I hope this turns out to be a tempest in a teacup, and that the Dems all get tea stains."

It wont matter if it is a tempest in a tea cup...how long is this process going to go on...Tom has already stepped down has majority leader..if this drags on into next year it could cost him his seat. After that even if he is aquited it doesnt matter the damage is done.
