Its easy....if you've become a priest as a homosexual you have explicitly violated the organizational tenets of the Catholic church. So whats the complaint when you're outed? Don't let the door hit ya !!!!!

I'm afraid that your understanding is flawed.

Homosexuality is NOT "an action." It is a grave disorder of the person, encompassing psychological factors as well as the desire for sexual gratification with members of one's own sex.

"Celibacy" is irrelevant to the definition.

I suspect that the % of homosexual priests varies Diocese by Diocese, depending on the seminary-admission/retention policies of the various Bishops.

It's a safe bet that every Diocese has at least ONE homosexual priest; not so safe, however, that the number is 30+% nationally...

Ever hear of RCF?

Wahabbists, perhaps--but they point out, explicitly, WITH documentation, some of the problems.

Yeah, well, Austin, SFO...Manhattan

So what?

Look at Grand Forks, St Cloud, and Pella for contrast.

Wrong.

Homosexuality is a grave disorder ipso facto.

"Acting out" has NOTHING to do with diagnosis.

Yeah, well, I know a few SSND's, too, MM--at the Motherhouse in Elm Grove, WI.

And I'm not real impressed with their "theology."

This brave new Pope is dragging this vile homosexual agenda pushers out of the PC shadows into the clear light of day.

The fallout will be interesting like this.

The issue is, of course, is whether a celibate homosexual can be a Catholic priest.

Can a celibate pedophile? A celibate necrophile? A celibate beastophile?

And as a Catholic, the latest news from the Vatican saddens me.

The God I pray to created all human beings. I believe he made some of them gay.

Stop thinking, and read your Bible... Your belief is not based on Scripture, but your own desire. You may have known a good man, but if he was a practicing homosexual, he was perverting his own existence, by pretending to be a man of God.

God gave us the ability to make our own decisions. He set Adam and Eve into the garden, and told them they could have anything, but not to eat from the TREE of KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL. They did. We know the rest of the story. WE KNOW right from wrong.

If you around a child, watch carefully. He/she will give you a furtive glance, when he knows he getting ready to test your will... and does something just to spite you, or provoke a response.

God told man to lie with woman. He wasn't talking about two mommies or two daddies...

The RC church's stance on priestly celibacy is also not scripturally based. It is based on their decision to make it part of their requirements for the priesthood. Jesus was a little more inclusive, and Paul directly told us that church leaders must be tested, and must be married to ONE WIFE.

Are you conveniently ignoring the fact that there are more homosexuals-per-square-foot in the Vatican City than in any other country in the world?

You can prove this?

Or do you just swallow homo-propaganda and then spew it all over the 'net?

But we DO identify grave disorders, one of which is homosexuality.

And men with that particular disorder have, ipso facto, an impediment to Ordination.

Your posts are utterly reasonable.

Kinsey IS full of shit; he was a bi-sexual and sought self-justification, just as Margaret Mead sought self-justification for her adulterous lifestyle.

Mutatis mutandis, same goes for the old lecher-ette who mentored Al Greenspan and wrote 'Atlas Shrugged.' She was merely totally selfish--and tried to justify it through novels.

IOW, there's a lotta projection goin' on out theah...

Lemmeesee, heah, now...

In Wisconsin, the ex-Milwaukee Ordinary IS a flamer.

None of the rest of the ex-Bishops of Wisconsin have been proven so--but we have our suspicions about them.

Prithee, which fair city of Doyle-Land is yours?

Never thought of you as a "bad person." Found myself being disappointed, that's all. But it was late, wasn't it? Apologies for being too harsh. Have already lowered cheese setting. Safe travel.

I have a co-worker, former Catholic himself, whose mother is still Catholic and belongs to this organization. I can't say I necessarily agree with what they're about totally but after hearing from my co-worker his complete lack of knowledge of the Bible before leaving the Church (he personally felt this was rampant in the Church), maybe RCF isn't so bad.
