1-Where are the libs when 6,000 blacks are getting royally screwed to "profit the rich". This ought to be tailor made for Jesse and the race pimps. It seems big government socialism is what these people are really for.
2-Calling Charlie Crist, calling Charlie Crist. You sid this couldn't happen in Florida, so we needed to do nothing to protect the homes of our citizens. Yeah, Charlie, I *really* want you for governor. An attorney general that oversees the violation of the US Constitution is a poor choice for governor.

Wasn't this the community featured in the movie "Sunshine State". (If not it was one very similar.)

Didn't you know that poor black people aren't supposed to live in nice places, like on beachfront property? < /sarc>.

Riviera Beach is another demonstration of Democrat scum keeping Blacks in their economic chains of slavery, and the Congressional Black Caucus is the field boss!!! I wonder if American Blacks will ever learn have badly they have been had by their "Black brothers" and the Democrat Party. I doubt it. Ignorance is bliss, I guess!!!

On this topic, anyone know what is happening with that eminent domain case to take David Souter's property to build a casino? (The Lost Liberty Casino, I think it was to be called).

"This is a community ... which has a median income of less than $19,000 a year," said Riviera Beach Mayor Michael Brown.Brilliant plan, Mayor Brown! Move the low-income folks out of your town, and miraculously, your town's average income goes up!

Dear Child,
Our Governor, a.k.a. the Carpet Bagger from Texas, recently stated that Florida didn't need any more protection from Eminent Domain abuses. He did say it, I am not making this up.
Jeb Bush is, I am sorry to have to tell you, a skilled, nationally recognized practitioner of Eminent Domain abuse.
How did you think that stadium in Texas was built? Those homes were condemned under Eminent Domain, and Jeb did well from the grabbing of those people's homes to build that stadium in Texas.
Isn't it ironic that the black population in Florida is now going to get the same abuse heaped on them which was visited upon Connecticut whites?
Liberalism - the real equal opportunity abuser of your Constitutional Guarantees.
After Kelo, and now Riviera Beach, one can make a case that Eminent Domain abuse is truly color blind. But somehow I don't think Martin Luther King would like what is happening in Riviera Beach.
This is less King's "I have a dream" than it is Jessie jackson's "I have a scheme."
"Crack! Snap! "Out of your homes, slaves!" Yass, Massa Developer. Doan use no mo that Eminent Domain whip, please Massa Developer!
It seems Eminant Domain abuse is now busy making slaves of all, white, and black alike.
The whirling sound you hear is King revolving rapidly in his grave. The low pitched sound of distress is Conservatives hurling across the Fruited Plain.
/sarc off
PS Before any lurkin Liberal whines about the whip line, that was suggested by a black friend from college who is madder than the proverbial boiled owl over Kelo.
As he put it "Some Lib's house will be next. Since he didn't speak out before, who will speak up to defend the Lib when Eminent Domain comes for him?"

We were talking to some folks about Kelo not long ago. They had some screwy idea that Republicans were responsible for the decision. When we told them who had actually been responsible for the decision, and who appointed those judges, you could've heard a pin drop. Now they're really po'ed. And not at us :)

Time to rip Hizzoner a new one...
"This is a community that's in dire need of jobs, which has a median income of less than $19,000 a year," said Riviera Beach Mayor Michael Brown.
So "jobs" is the reason why you're running out a fifth of your town, "Mr." Mayor? (side note; the 2000 population was 29,884) Exactly how many jobs is that yacht club going to bring in? 10? 20? Maybe 50 if it's a real-busy yacht club with a nice high-end restaurant. Golly, that's booting out 120 people per job; reeeal compassionate </sarcasm>.
While I'm on "jobs", Brownie, do you really think that anything other than the 2-3 management jobs will get filled by your new well-heeled residents? That housing development would be a colossal failure if only the 2-3 people who will get those management jobs (the only ones created that would allow one to afford your shiny new high-price, high-tax district) move in. If the "jobs" market is that tight, maybe you ought to get some manufacturing concern interested in vacant land (I'm sure you got plenty of it).
Then again, this isn't about the "jobs", is it? It's about squeezing enough money out of your subjects so you can get that shiny Mayor's toy like they have in SimCity. That's something that you can't squeeze out of your current subjects, so you decided to buy some new ones. I'd suggest you build quick; while SCOTUS might give you the "right" to bulldoze and rezone on the cheap, you might lose that next election.
