I too listen to what Ann has to say and she does make some strong points. Justice Brown would have been a great pick for SCJ. How on earth could the democrats go against a story as hers. Especially after President Bush said he wish he could have received more of a larger black vote. More important we need a vote of confidance in the conservative movement and picking someone like Judge Brown could have gave consevatives a boost. If it means a fight then so be it we have to see who is really for us or not. This is the time to strike when we have the President and the senate majority. When would it be a better time to have such a show down. Not only that it would be such a great role model for young american blacks looking for a way to go in their lives. As you can see from all the threads just what President Bush has done is caused a great divide. It is so sad we have waited so long. And then when I think who could run against Hillery I get very scared and I also believe it should be a conservtive who can be the opposite of Hillery. Maybe this Harriet Miers will be a good SCJ but so much more could have been accomplished with Judge Brown.
Yes, it should have been Janice Rogers Brown. I knew she had no chance, even before the President made such a show of consulting Democrats. Brown would have been worth fighting for. Miers is likely to be eaten alive in the hearings, especially if the Dems believe she's pro-life. Then we'd have a defeat for the President as well as a surrender, and to many of us the choice of a cipher is already a surrender.
And don't bother calling me disloyal unless you can explain how a conservative could sign McCain-Feingold.
Ann didn't mean that.
There now you know what she is going to say.
The polls are coming out and it looks like the majority are not agreeing with our fore-running pundits on this one.
Why is it important? Because we're right, that's why.
Sometimes you just have to show the country what's going on. You can't be afraid to voice your arguments.
I guess that depends on what you're saying you're right about, huh?
Precisely.
Arguments are one thing .. what Ann said in this radio interview is completely different ..
And over the line
Correctamundo.
She's too skinny.
Right.
Ann is losing it.
She is a very witty and able writer, but as of late she tends to go for the "reaction" and not the logic and reason.
Along with about 20 pounds, she needs some maturity on those bones.
If you like bones.
And over the line
I had a chance to 'talk' to Mike Rosen via email and his thoughts were the exactly the same. The 'impeach Bush' rant doesn't convince anyone to your side of the argument, that is unless you are going for the Michael Moore / Moveon.org wacko leftist crowd. When Ann made this outrageous comment about President Bush you could hear Mike cringe on air.
I agreed with Ann on everything else she said during the guest appearance with Rosen.
Indeed. That was the stupidest thing I ever heard her say!
I don't know what her problem is .. but I sure wish she'd knock it off
She doesn't have to like the President's pick and she has ever right to disagree and speak her mind
But she also needs to be careful .. because it could come back to bite her ... and that comment was over the line and not called for
The President has ever right to nominate who he wishes and if the Senate doesn't approve .. they have ever right to vote against her
But IMO opinion, give the women a chance before you throw her under the bus
As for the comment about Ann's weight .. I don't like going down that road ... it's a cheap shot
Thank you for that info .. it's nice to hear that not everyone is losing it
I'm sorry, I just find it more than a little odd that men on this forum find her greatly attractive. To me, she looks like a thin and young Leslie Nielsen.
I just prefer my girls to look like Olympic divers or ice skaters.............. a girl with some tone, especially in her legs. And Ann's legs are awful. It's really not meant to be a slam to suggest that Ann have a few bacon cheeseburgers. I still like her spirit, but she was over the top of late on G.W.
;-)
Thanks for the link.
Finally, a chance to hear Coulter without someone always trying to cut her off or talk over her.
Enjoyed all her comments. Agreed with 95%.
