From what I learned today, they had no advance knowledge that would have made them act. If they did, Gate 7 security was totally lax before the game when they try to get everyone inside as fast as possible and the check is cursory.

Off Subject - Listening to John Batchelor... says that the 1918 flu (30-50 million dead)H1N1 we have in our system already, H5N1 now Avian Flu (100-200) doesn't require an agent and can spread on it's own. Research is following the amino acids and how it cooks itself (mutates) and because people fly back and forth now it will spread quickly versus 1918 obviously. Some think it's already here, that's why the push to find a vaccine now (a la Manhattan project). Some because it will take six months to even attempt to start a vaccine. Doesn't explain the quarantine talk so soon though.

I don't know about OU, but I have students at another Big 12 school. Purchasing football tickets -- or tickets to any extracurricular activity -- is not added into required tuition and fees. Rather, it is an option.

Even with a sports pass, the students have to go "pull" tickets the Monday morning before the game to get their assigned seats. It's not first-come, first-served in those huge stadiums.

Priority is given according to class rank. If they want to sit with friends, one member of the group collects the others' passes and pulls tickets together for all of them. I'm sure students can buy any available tickets if the game is not sold out.

Back during the 2001 January inauguration, a few days before actually, this crazy guy drove from Florida to Crawford with several rifles, shotguns and handguns seeking entry into the ranch, that never made MSM but it was reported by the locals. A clerk of a Feed and Seed store in Norman says the OU student who blew himself up tried to buy ammonium nitrate three days before the blast. Joel Hinrichs died Saturday in the explosion near Memorial Stadium. The store clerk says Henrichs was acting strangely and wearing a vest when he tried to buy the fertilizer. Henrich’s family says the student was suffering from depression before he died. "
