the sad truth is - that the permanent federal government beauracracy only gets off its a** when its pressured to do so - and without the pressure of media attention, if they can sweep this under the rug, they will. where will this story be two weeks from now if current trends continue?

I'm now fairly certain that Hinrichs was under surveillance the entire time. Maybe TMI would jeopardize ongoing operations to get his handlers and maybe even further upstream?

Given the fact that an LEO saw him trying to purchase amm. nitrate and got his plates, I am sure this kid was under surveillance. They probably had at least a little bit of info on his plans, and increased security accordingly.
PKM said they had bomb sniffing dogs in the stadium before the game.

Although it would be convenient to blame the "leftists in the media" for this event not being reported in the MSM, I highly doubt that is the reason. IMHO, I think the fact that this story hasn't been given aire time is because of an order by the Homeland Security, etc. I can understand why, but that "why" is exactly why I am seriously concerned about what happened at OU. If this was truly nothing more than some "personal suicide", it wouldn't require this sort of silence.
