My mom has been in the hospital with a respiratory infection for almost a week, and we learned today that doctors have found cancer. We don't know what type at this point (I don't believe it's at all related to the infection), or how serious it is, but the news was devastating. In addition, she has to battle this respiratory illness, which has been bad.
I'm praying constantly, as are the rest of my family. Cancer has killed two of my aunts and my grandfather, and this news hits everyone in my family hard. Relatives are coming to visit from all over the country, and I'm really thankful for it. We need family right now.
Please, pray for my mom.

I apologize if this post isn't coherent, but my mind is numb right now.

Praying that God will guide the doctors as they treat your mom and that she will be restored to good health soon. Also asking that He will give you and your family strength and peace. Trusting God and having faith is the best thing you could do!

There are many, many new drugs and therapies that may help your mother, many people are survivors!
Have faith in God, and we'll say a prayer for your mom and you to have the strength to get through these difficult days.
You sent Your Son, Jesus Christ to die for our sins and our diseases. We pray for this disease to leave this mother's body and ask that Your hand of healing would restore her to complete health. Be with all her family and help them to trust in You for everything that is needed. Guide the doctors who are providing her care and bless each one with the full knowledge of how to treat her. Father, You are able and we know that You care about this woman deeply. May Your Name be glorified as this family is drawn closer together in the midst of this trial. We ask all this in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Many prayers for you and your mother. Do you have brothers and sisters to help you during this time? I want to know you're surrounded by people who love and care for you. This has got to be hard. Mother's are important for our feelings of safty. If "Mom's" there, we have a place. Not that Mom's can't be difficult at times - but they're our first love. And that's hard to get over. Remember that we're here - and we'll be here for you as your Mom battles this illness. You're not alone.
