SOLDIERS DISCOVER WEAPONS CACHE

CAMP BLUE DIAMOND, AR RAMADI, Iraq – For the third time in as many weeks, Soldiers from 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Marine Division discovered a significant weapons cache in Ramadi, Al Anbar’s provincial capital.

The unit was conducting a cordon and search operation, which began early morning on Oct. 9, in order to uncover suspected weapons caches at several garages and vacant buildings. Six suspected terrorists were detained.

The find included Soviet-made rockets and surface to air missiles, more than one hundred 120 mm mortar rounds, dozens of 81 mm and 60 mm mortar rounds, hand grenades, AK-47s and bomb-making materials. The contents of the cache will be destroyed.

Two additional caches were discovered in the Ramadi area within the past several weeks. One was located at a public soccer stadium and the other at an elementary school in the Malaab district.

Yesterday’s operation is intended to help establish a more secure environment for the Oct. 15 Referendum.

"One was located at a public soccer stadium and the other at an elementary school in the Malaab district..."

Typical lack of concern for human life. They should check all such places.

What happens to these guys?

Are they turned loose to go get more weapons? Are they simple farmers told to hold the weapons by the terrorists under penalty of death, and therefore released ?

If you add up all the numbers of "Detained" people over the last three years you could start your own country.

Search those Mosques, shrines, and stuff the infidels are not supposed to look in because they will use them as depots IMO.

Maybe those caches are to be - as a SOP - blown up in situ, i.e. right where found, with the caught excremists placed on top of them. The resulting destruction could serve as an object lesson.

It seem like the munitions are unending. I think this is new stuff though, did you notice the mention of hand grenades?

The munitions will be unending as long as Syria and Iran are allowed to continue to ship them in.

That is being worked on right now. In a short time you'll start hearing about a plan to close of both borders by creating a dead zone. According to people that have just come back it won't be long befoe they will starve the terrorists out of their cross border supplies and then it will be only a matter of time.
