Adding sexual orientation to hate crimes will destroy America as we know it.
First it would put homosexuality above religious freedoms, a violation of the first amendment.
Second it would be giving special rights to a class of people, recognized only by there deviant behavior. It would be similar to saying that it will be a hate crime to call someone a criminal when they steal your car.
Third. The phrase "sexual orientation" is made up by homosexuals to try to make themselves look less filthy than they really are. The purpose of the phrase is to take the spotlight from what these perverts do, and put it on the notion that they are just poor, mistreated people, who simply are attracted to members of the same sex - as if they aren't engaging in activity forbidden by God Almighty. "Sexual orientation," as used today, has nothing to do with sexual activity (yeah, right), but only refers to who or what a particular person is attracted to. If you think that people of other "sexual orientations" are just fine, let's see what other "sexual orientations" you would necessarily have to accept as wholesome and pure. If you're not going to discriminate based on "sexual orientation", then you must not discriminate against any of the following. Bestiality, pedophile, necrophilia., exhibitionism, fetishism, frotteurism, masochism, sadism, transvestitism, voyeurism. If you discriminate against any of these, you're a hypocrite. These "sexual orientations" are generally known as "paraphilias", and are mental disorders - just like homosexuality used to be (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders Fourth Edition, American Psychiatric Association, 1994.)
Fourth, by putting sexual orientation into hate crimes you will be allowing an attack on children, which would go against our constitution that aims to protect the most helpless members of society. We will be sacrificing a child’s youth for the sexual stimulation of degenerate perverts. This cannot be allowed to happen.
For the children, for society discrimination adding sexual orientation to hate crimes must not be allowed to happen.
Shouldn't have 'hate crimes', period. It gives a protective status to some at the expense of others. The House has passed a 'Jessica's Law' bill, but snuck in a rider to include gays as special victims. That is wrong and hopefully the Senate will strike that. I wrote my Senator who says he is against any hate crime legislation.
Sorry, but I'm not into drawing parallels. But if you want to draw an intersection, that I could get off on.

also, I don't care what the activists say. 'Sexual orientation' DOES include incest, pedophilia and beastiality.
Not saying that all homos exhibit these traits, but if 'sexual orientation' is the wording, all hell will break loose and the sickos will come out of the woodwork.
