"Because He loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name.
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation."

Psalm 91: 14-16

Dear Heavenly Father, it is with reverence and awe that we praise You for Your Sovereigny, Your Omniscience, and Your mercy and love. We confess that our lack of faith sometimes causes us discouragement, and Lord, we look to You tonight as our Creator and Lord, and the answer to all of our questions and problems.

Lord, we thank You for answered prayer, as we have lifted up our brother, George W. Bush to You. We thank You that You rescue him, sustain him, and deliver and honor him. We thank You that you continue to protect him from his enemies; those who would destroy his life and his reputation. We ask for him continued guidance and wisdom in every decision he must make, and ask that You help him to continue to acknowledge Your name and call upon You to meet all his needs, and to guide his every step. We pray for Laura as well, that You would help her to be the loving, supportive wife that You intend for her to be, and ask that You would enrich their marriage and deepen it with every passing moment, that their commitment to You and to each other might become even stronger through the trials they must endure. We pray for their entire family; for Barbara and Jenna, and for their parents, that they might have peace in knowing they are in Your care.

Father, we thank You and praise You for the success in the Iraqi referendum on Saturday. We thank You that lives were spared, and that terrorists were apprehended and stopped from the evil they intended to do. Lord, we continue to ask that You guide and direct our military there, that they might know the right things to do to stop the murderers who are seeking to destroy this fledgling democracy. We pray for the protection and blessing of each member of our military, and ask that many of our soldiers might be able to return home as the safety of the Iraqi people becomes more of a reality. Father, we pray for complete victory in that country over evil and darkness, and pray that Your word might be spread among the people there.

Lord, we also pray for this nation, that You would grab a hold of us and bring us back to Your side in humility and repentance for the sins we have committed against You. We pray that Life might once again be honored, and the weakest members of our society be protected from the powerful who would destroy them. We pray for wisdom and guidance for each member of Congress, and for the strengthening of conviction of those who name Your Name, that they might stand strong for justice, mercy and love. We thank You for our freedom, and ask that we might never take it for granted. In the name of Jesus, who shed His blood for the forgiveness of sin, we pray, Amen!

Joining you in prayer.

My heart is as frail as a dove
And my spirit is as weak as a rose
See my sorrow, feel my pain
You're my refuge, You're my reason
My strength in this beautiful place
That's where I find God
That's where I find God

Oh, You're in my heart, You're in my soul
You are my Heaven, You're my home
You're my best friend, You're my true love
You're my treasure, You're my God

I watch as the mountains fall down
And the rivers part at Your feet
Your creation sings Your praise
Even winds obey and angels bow down
At Your beautiful voice
That's where I find God

You're in my heart, You're in my soul
You are my Heaven, You're my home
You're my best friend, You're my true love
You're my treasure, You're my hope
You are my peace, You are my joy
You are my Savior, You are my God
You're my God
You; Josh Havens, Matt Fuqua, Brad Wigg & Marc Dodd

What would we do if we didn't have God as our refuge? How hopeless life would be.

Thanks for another beautiful song, Luvya!

AMEN OHIO AND AMEN ALL!

GRACE TO ALL BRETHREN!

Psalms 65:1
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. A Song. Praise is awaiting You, O God, in Zion; And to You the vow shall be performed.

Psalms 65:2
O You who hear prayer, To You all flesh will come.

Psalms 65:3
Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them.

Psalms 65:4
Blessed is the man You choose, And cause to approach You, That he may dwell in Your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of Your house, Of Your holy temple.

Psalms 65:5
By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;

Psalms 65:6
Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power;

Psalms 65:7
You who still the noise of the seas, The noise of their waves, And the tumult of the peoples.

Psalms 65:8
They also who dwell in the farthest parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and evening rejoice.

Psalms 65:9
You visit the earth and water it, You greatly enrich it; The river of God is full of water; You provide their grain, For so You have prepared it.

Psalms 65:10
You water its ridges abundantly, You settle its furrows; You make it soft with showers, You bless its growth.

Psalms 65:11
You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance.

Psalms 65:12
They drop on the pastures of the wilderness, And the little hills rejoice on every side.

Psalms 65:13
The pastures are clothed with flocks; The valleys also are covered with grain; They shout for joy, they also sing.
(NKJV)

"Thy paths drop fatness."
- Psalm 65:11

Many are "the paths of the Lord" which "drop fatness," but an especial one
is the path of prayer. No believer, who is much in the closet, will have
need to cry, "My leanness, my leanness; woe unto me." Starving souls live
at a distance from the mercy- seat, and become like the parched fields in
times of drought. Prevalence with God in wrestling prayer is sure to make
the believer strong-if not happy. The nearest place to the gate of heaven
is the throne of the heavenly grace. Much alone, and you will have much
assurance; little alone with Jesus, your religion will be shallow,
polluted with many doubts and fears, and not sparkling with the joy of the
Lord.
Since the soul-enriching path of prayer is open to the very weakest
saint; since no high attainments are required; since you are not bidden to
come because you are an advanced saint, but freely invited if you be a
saint at all; see to it, dear reader, that you are often in the way of
private devotion.
Be much on your knees, for so Elijah drew the rain upon famished Israel's
fields.

There is another especial path dropping with fatness to those who walk
therein, it is the secret walk of communion. Oh! the delights of
fellowship with Jesus! Earth hath no words which can set forth the holy
calm of a soul leaning on Jesus' bosom. Few Christians understand it, they
live in the lowlands and seldom climb to the top of Nebo: they live in the
outer court, they enter not the holy place, they take not up the privilege
of priesthood.
At a distance they see the sacrifice, but they sit not down with the
priest to eat thereof, and to enjoy the fat of the burnt offering.
But, reader, sit thou ever under the shadow of Jesus; come up to that
palm tree, and take hold of the branches thereof; let thy beloved be unto
thee as the apple-tree among the trees of the wood, and thou shalt be
satisfied as with marrow and fatness.
O Jesus, visit us with thy salvation!

C.H.SPURGEON

SOLI DEO GLORIA!

Praying your Beautiful Prayer with you, sister Ohio!

This Scripture I read a Few Minutes Ago Fits our dear brother-President so Well: Many are my Persecutors and Mine Enemies, yet I do not Decline from Thy Testemonies. (Ps.119:157)

Thank You, our Great King, that Your servant Names Your Name, and Loves Your Word, and Perseveres in the Face of his Adversaries. It is All through Grace, Your Majesty, and we Praise You for Sustaining Your beloved child. Evermore Bless our President, our Military, and our America, as we Pray in Jesus' Name, amen.
