I am sorry, but no matter where you stand on the Miers nomination, is the White House serious that they are so obsesssed with ensuring she is confirmed that they are willing to no only shove her down conservative throats (while tearing the base in two), but to make sure it happens, they are going to shove Spector's stem cell bill down our throats too(see Specter deal mentioned on another thread)? For the life of me, I cannot understand it and I wonder how anyone on here can, no matter how you feel about Miers. They are digging themselvs deeper and deeper, and soon there will be no way out. I really hope they come to their senses.
Its all about saving face...Got it, now??
Neither party represents their constituents. They both represent the NWO masters.
It reminds me of the Nixon Whitehouse when things started going bad. Suddenly they start randomly lashing out and everything just starts falling apart. Too bad Bush brought this mess on himslef, but the conservative base needs to hold strong against Miers.
I'll bet you would demand that the White House would be so obsessed if Miers were a candidate of your choice. Of course you don't get a choice and therein lies the problem of all of this.
I cannot understand it and I wonder how anyone on here can
The GOP needs a wake-up smack on the head. Voting 3rd party and likely allowing a Dem to get voted in for the short term, is better than more Bushes for the long term.
But didn't that exact "strategy" get us 8 years of Bill Clinton and George W. Bush?
So you would be content with the greatest of two evils?
although it never really ends, the campagning has begun
When people are under hysterical attack, they tend to dig in. It's human nature.
Time to pay attention to the most conservative candidates in GOP primaries and flush the fake ones. Hear that Voinovich?
If the GOP doesn't allow the competition within the party.....Well, then perhaps we'll get a dose of "Voter Apathy"....
When I asked myself "How many different ways can people say 'Harriet Miers sucks'?" it was a rhetorical question. I wasn't particularly looking for somebody to work out the answer.
"Voting 3rd party and likely allowing a Dem to get voted in for the short term, is better than more Bushes for the long term."
That would only be true if you had a chance of getting your 3rd party candidate elected. You don't.
My wife (who happens to be a big Alex Jones/David Ickes/Art Bell conspiracy theory buff) has been saying this seriously for a long time - my usual response is to go to the kitchen, grab the Reynolds Wrap and start making her a hat. With this Miers thing starting to implode and GWB & Co. digging in their heels (and the 'Rats being uncharacteristically quiet on the sidelines), I'm beginning to believe maybe that she's on to something ...
You don't remember 1992? That is, 1992 though January 2001?
No. The point is, this is the only way to remove the GOP power brokers. Once completed, we'd come back.
agree
Twenty years ago I read NWO conspiracy stuff and got a great belly laugh. Twenty years of history later, I see the plan is working perfectly.
There is a plan to consolidate Mexico, the US, and Canada under a single border security plan, which also happens to include normalizing trade within that security envelope. Down the road, the plan is to use a single currency as the Europeans do now with the Ero. These are also ideas I read about back then.
I can't find anything in those old "funny papers" that have not come to pass. The NWO is real.
