Jack Thompson Vs. Penny-Arcade - PvP news exclusive!
Posted on Friday, October 21, 2005
I'm sorry to make a news post before today's strip is posted, but the PvPonline.com news team has just received an anonymous tip that the saga between Jack Thompson and Penny-Arcade has just taken a frightening twist.
As reported at gamepolitics.com, Jack Thompson has faxed letters both to local Seattle authorities and the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Washington, in relation to Penny Arcade.
An anonymous tipster has just forwarded PvPonline.com a leaked document showing that Thompson may have possibly contacted a third institution in relation to Penny Arcade. PvPonline.com can neither confirm nor deny the credibility of this information.
My husband has been keeping me up-to-date on the Jack Thompson saga. The dude needs some serious medication.
Kurtz's business manager must be out of the office today or else he might have warned Scott to not taunt the looney lawyer.
Oh well. It's still a funny bit.
Kurtz always shoots from the hip. Shot himself in the foot many times. But he's still damn good at what he does in ticking people off =]
If this is the Jack Thompson, Esq. from Florida (who ran against Janet Reno for DA way back in 1988 and subsequently made all kinds of allegations of personal and professional misconduct against her), I remember that he used to post on FreeRepublic way back in '98 and then for reasons that I can't recall, wound up getting himself barred from FreeRepublic.....
yup
I'll have to say, it is weird getting Jack Thompson news from the Video game pinglist. ;-)
Mind control devices? LOL!
It seemed to be a natural place to put it, since complaining about video games is his bit right now. Personally, I've found this entire episode rather entertaining; Jack is quickly running out of people who take him seriously.
OH NOES! This is series!
