Police: Woman Left Infant Alone For Three Weeks Baby Is In Fair Condition

COVINGTON, Ohio -- Authorities said that a mother left her 7-month-old baby alone in her apartment for three weeks while she stayed with a friend.
Ashley Traylor, 20, was arrested Friday in Covington, about 30 miles north of Dayton. Her child is being treated for severe malnourishment and is in fair condition.
Traylor is being charged with criminal abuse, NBC4 reported.
Police said that the baby was nearly lifeless when he was found. They say he hadn't eaten or had his diaper changed in three weeks.
A friend that the mother was staying with said Traylor told her that her son was with a babysitter.
Friends said that Traylor is pregnant again and has a 3-year-old in foster care.

I can't believe that all these stories are based on what Antonio said the doctor said. I think he's covering his a$$. Authorities can probably verify that the mother has been at the friend's house for three 3 wks.
Any bets that she says she left the baby with his father, Antonio? Pure speculation on my part. My money is on Antonio being the AWOL parent for the past several days.

Your interpretation is certainly reasonable. Whether the child ate or not can be confirmed by a direct quote from a doctor or police officer, if the news media follows up.
It's possible he was left with Antonio, or some other "associate," maybe the next baby's father (some men will scr#w anything with a pulse, obviously). The important part is that all the children be permanently removed from all these people, immediately.

Did she think the baby could possibly survive, or was she trying to kill him? I agree, she should never be allowed to have another child. And of course, she should spend a long time in jail.

Well, the right ti privacy of the mother IS the most important thing.

My first thought.... also make a good argument for her to not be allowed to have more children after this one is born. More than that, what kind of mental capacity do these babies being born to mothers using meth (and other drugs) have? That's something I'm very curious about.
The death penalty would be too nice for this slime.

How the child was still alive after 3 weeks is a miracle. I hope the child makes a full recovery and never has to see his monster mother again.

It's strange. The location is noted as Covington, OHIO, but the address of the mom is listed as Cambridge Square complex off Taylor Mill Road, which is in Covington, Kentucky- right across the river from Cincinnati, Ohio. Unless there is a parallel complex on a parallel road in these two communities?? Hmmm. Maybe if they got the location of the city wrong, they also got the info about days without water wrong. The MSM could never make errors, right? (sarcasm)
