I am becoming MORE and more confident daily that our 2008 nominee will be Mike Pence-a true Reagan Conservative.

I don't believe that Guilliani will sell in the conservative South. I certainly do not want a man of such low moral character in the White House. We had that with Bill Clinton and we certainly don't want that ever again. Chatacter does count.

If Republicans nominate a pro-gay pro-abortionist they can say goodbye to the churchgoing conservatives who form the base of the party.

Wretch....gag....vomit...
as much as think Rudy is just fine for the peoples republic of NY City...he is not to be trusted as a presidential hopefull or even NY Governor.
As a Senator from NY, he can only improve things and thats as far as he should go.

Many adults in the United States believe Republican Rudy Giuliani should launch a White House bid, according to a poll by the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion. 54 per cent of respondents would like the former New York City major to run for president in 2008.
hmmm. looks like principled conservatives can stay home.

Condoleezza Rice (R) 37% 57% probably such a high no number because no Dem wants to see her run knowing she will offset the votes Hillary will get just because she is a woman

This is going to be an awful boring election.

This is a pre-election season poll of no consequence.
Let's hope that Rudy goes against Hillary in 2006 to make her the ex-Senator of NY. That would be perfect IMO.

I doubt Rudi can win the GOP nomination. Even if he did, he wouldn't get my vote or the votes of a majority of conservatives.

They are trying to get us to nominate someone for whom the base will not vote. Don't fall for it.

Giuliani will not be the GOP nominee in 2008 -- you can take that to the bank.
Polls taken three years in advance of an election reflect nothing more than public name recognition, which explains why people like Giuliani and McCain consistently rank at the top of any list of GOP contenders.

he wouldn't get my vote So you would abstain and let Hillary win? Rudy would be much better than the alternative (Hillary) if he does turn out to be the nominee, which wont even happen IMHO.
To: JohnnyZ
Agreed, but if they nominate a real social conservative, they lose moderate urban and suburban voters. Darned if you do, darned if you don't.
