I thoroughly agree. Click below. However, I give her odds as about 25-75 against, alas.

Do you think the opposition to Miss Miers will continue united to try to stop a potential Gonzales nomination?

Let's unite to destroy the libs.

Libs are sooo dumb.

In 1998 and 2002 only 36% of the Voting Age Population (VAP) Voted. That's 36% of 'National Adults'.

This means that Republicans need the approval of 19% of 36% that are Likely Voters to gain seats.

This means Republicans need the approval of 19% of the participants in every garbage 'National Adult' Poll.

There are more than enough Conservative Republicans and Regan Democrats to crush the appeasement libs in 2006.

UNITE. FIGHT. AVIOD THE BIASED MSM. WIN.

good question. I do know that bush has come out and defended Gonzales against critics, so he at least knows that there is opposition to him.

i would guess that there will be, because unlike miers we already have plenty of documentation on him, thats the source of the criticism.

Janice Rogers Brown is 56?? She looks so amazingly young, even though she doesn't wear makeup. Are we going to have a hottie on the SCOTUS?

I would be satisfied with Luttig, Garza or Olson -- pretty much in that order.

Would breath a huge sigh of relief with Luttig.

Wouldn't think Ted's interested, especially after what Hattie Myers went through, but it's worth asking.

The reason officially given for the Miers withdraw (not wanting to turn over internal documents) makes it very unlikely Bush would go with Gonzales. Equally important he does not want another fight with conservatives on his hands. I expect he will choose someone acceptable to conservatives, but likely to be confirmed fairly easily. Alito, Lutig or McConnell are probably most likely.

Ted Olson is a great pick.

'Theodore Bevry Olson (born September 11, 1940) was the 42nd United States Solicitor General, serving from June 2001 to July 2004.'

He just turned 65. We need someone younger.
