  I didn't really think of it as an attack at the time. It was such a blatant forgery that we were just having fun with it. Like the Microsoft Talking Paper Clip (Clippy) saying I see you're trying to forge a military document... you might like to (1) use a font consistent with the time period of the document you are attempting to forge... The December article, not yet generally available, is an excerpt from Mapes' soon-to-be-publihsed book, "Truth and Duty" (St. Martin's) on her career and the episode often called Rathergate. Vanity Fair says Mapes sets out to "answer her critics."

Just wondering if anyone at FR was contacted by Vanity Fair to dispute her side or is this just another one-sided media hit-piece? (I know, rhetorical question.)
