Did 'revoked' living willkill communicative man?

Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.

Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.

"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."

The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."

"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."

Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.

"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

Otherwise, I doubt that she would bother to interfere with the mother doing her matronly duties here???

Such as caring for her son back to wellness? Wellness meaning ability to speak. Wonder what Scott will say what happened to him at the time of the accident?

"Terri's Story" by Diana Lynne sounds like an interesting book that also makes a good gift.

Also the state that passed the first in the nation abortion law.

Brian Rohrbough, father of Danny who was slain at Columbine
will be our Keynote speaker at our March for Life, January 21,
2006 at the State Capitol - 1:30 p.m.

His speech is titled "Abortion is Always Wrong!"

I thought Hemlock was now called Choice in Dying - they've
changed their name again?

"MAN FROM GLAD CAN'T RUN ANYTHING. And, INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW IF CHARLIE CRIST IS GAY OR NOT?"

If he is, would that make him the Man From GLAAD?

"Is there life insurance awaiting the "wife" on Scott's death?"

H'mm, good question.

Acc previous reports, and I believe also somewhere on http://www.scottsfight.com, Scott & she had been together for several years, then got married Mar 2002 or so, and after that, he started getting mysteriously ill -- to the point of needing to be hospitalized. How weird is that!

Furthermore, from main page of his website:

And to add insult to injury, Scott’s wife continues to sell his assets – even though she is not supposed to!  Since the time when Scott was hospitalized, a classic car of his (worth about $30,000) seemingly disappeared.  I found out that Liza gave the car and the title to a friend of hers and a co-worker of Scott's. (The police are investigating this as well.)

Prayers continue for the family and those who are able to help them, and that Scott will continue to recover in that atmosphere of love and support.

Hi, presently -- good to see you here!

Especially, thank God for His goodness and providence to Scott, his family, AND to our community.

Good night -- let us sleep better tonight, and may this come to a good end for Scott's family very soon.

Thanks, cyn, as I read your post, I heard the news that twelve of the miners were found alive. Good end to the day.

Thank You, Lord

The Hemlock Society is now called "End of Life Choices." But most still call it "Hemlock Society" anyway.

Several years ago the MN Republican Party tried to change its name to recruit more voters. I think they called it the "Independent-Republican Party of MN," but only the "R" word stuck anyway.

Several years ago the popular National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City changed its name, but those aware of this treasure still call it the "Cowboy Hall of Fame" regardless.

One of the early and vocal euthanasia advocates was also from CO -- former Democrat Governor Richard Lamm. I think he later dabbled in Ross Perot "Reform" politics.

Lamm was the then state representative who carried the nation's
first abortion law passed April 25, 1967.

He is doubly responsible for the current death ethic raging
across the land.

Hence the name, "Duty to Die, Lamm!"

and that - one day - he can give Eliza "what for"!

Thank you. It's how I truly believe.

Not a majority of people disagree with us. Only a small minority of greedy, selfish people.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1559543/posts?

The above thread is heartening that so very many people "get it".

Some there are against "assisted suicide" but believe it's a State's right issue.

I do not believe that either the Feds or the States have the right to make laws promoting and legalizing "assisted suicide".
