Before we all jump on the Muslims and condemn them and their way of life, let's pause to reflect on their benefits to society, the rich tapestry of culture that they bring, and their many, many achievements....
Hmmmm, I'm drawing a blank. If anyone can think of any, you know where to find me.

The poor, poor French. They thought they'd be safe from islamofascism if they bashed America and Israel, and now this! I wonder how hard it is for Pres. Bush and Condi to keep a straight face when they call up ole' Chirac and offer their condolences on the latest French "unpleasantness." What I really wonder is when Chirac is going to call Pres. Bush and ask for military help.

After years of being a thorn in America's side, France is doing us one final good turn before its collapse - providing a lesson.
To: Alouette
What a fun read! Some part of me wants to feel bad for the French, b/c I know there are some reasonable French who don't hate America, who are still grateful for our sacrifices in WWII and who are troubled by their government's support of or lack of outrage about Muslim terror.
Ok, the moment passed. To the French I quote Detective John McCane, "Welcome to the party, pal." How do you like it so far?

" It would be good if liberals in this country suddenly came to their senses, too. But it ain't gonna happen."
True. But I believe he conservatives will ultimately hold the line. Though we will be in for a servere 4-year trial if Hillary wins the Presidency.

It seems as thought the French (in hoping that the alligator would eat them last) by their appeasement of the Islamists only proved to the Islamofascists that France was too weak and easy a target to ignore. Part of me want to tell the French that they deserve what they are getting, the other half laments the fact that western civilization neutered itself with PC and liberalism to the point where it cant defend itself from aggressive ideologies. You cant fight what you are unwilling to define.

Great Article!
Serious question: Does ANYONE have a clue how the FRENCH can win this battle? If the mussies want to press this, I don't see how the cowardly french can do anything but lose BIG. France seems real close to civil war, & the mussies seem to control events.

Well, there are very few things as amusing these days as watching the French grapple with their backyard intifada. Heh. I can always depend Plaut to capture my feelings, exactly.
