For sure. Khadaffi has dreams of being a greater state philosopher than Mao, whom he emulated in the burning of property records, but Mao, misguided though he was, was simply quite a powerful thinker. Libya is firmly third-world; China is having problems emerging from maoist-communism and is having bad third world symptoms, but they have at least acknowledged there is such a thing as private property.

Quaddafi is a master of deceiving.
He came out with Libyan nuclear facility/material soon after the USA attacked Iraq. I have a strange feeling that the Libyan nuclear staff came from Iraq. Double victory for them: Libya free of WMD and No WMD in Iraq.
