When will they learn that partisan politics ends at the water's edge?

They have no desire to be held back by a little puddle. Afterall, they are citizens of the world. That approach worked well for the Dixie Chicks(all 4 of them).

Very well put, Jim!!

Ummm . . .do you think you could point some of those "disenfranchised muslim youth" to say, Missouri, or Texas? After all, aren't those Right to Carry states? And unlike the left coasts and liberal bastions in between, we'll shoot!

Hear, hear!

Though when it comes to Third World countries the Left isn't quite so multi-cultural. Indeed, their model for "liberated" indigenous nations seems closer to World War II-era fascist Japan than to anything in Europe or Canada.

What needs to be done is for someone to tell them to shut up, we need the president to "bully" them from the large pulpit he can command. That is why this is happening, there is a power vacuum in the American system, and until it is filled, the American haters will get lots of press time.

It is only going to ratchet up if the Pres doesn't take to his pulpit and tell them to STFU. This is no way to run a war.

"When will the Democrat leadership learn that appeasement to terrorism only emboldens the terrorists?"

Never. They will lie. They will twist. They will pretend. They will use their media allies to try and make a different reality. They will attack. They will justify. They will cover up. They will change the topic. They will exhibit no shame. They will turn to acedemia to provide fake causes. They will pretend to provide amswers. They will blame Bush. They will blame us. They will dig up dirt to try and silence their opponents. They will blame EVERYONE who doesn't agree.

But they will never, NEVER learn!

Very well said, and 100% accurate. What I find at varying times irritating, annoying, frustrating and/or depressing is that the Republican party is by and large silent when the Democrats, aided and abetted by the media, go on their direct and indirect assault on America. That the WH puts up with this constant abuse is also part of the problem. It's somewhat like someone staying silent while their family members are verbally assaulted.

All I can say is thank God for bloggers and a number of talk radio hosts, especially Mark Levin who has the ability to express the type of outrage that many of us feel.

It's more than a few years of public school, by my count it's more like 12+ years of socialist indoctrination and then 4+ years of Marxism in the University.

My sister teaches in an Archdiocesan school in St. Louis and the text books she brings home are nothing more than furthering the socialist agenda in this country.

School Text Book manufacturers are also to blame.

Listening to Dingy Harry Reid go off on Cheney today made me crazy. The Dems are so desperate and bitter about the election, that they've lost what little sanity they ever had in the first place.

First, welcome to FR! ;-)

Jim, do you think that the Hispanic invasion of the States is setting up a similar situation? We are establishing a permanent second class, one that cannot participate in government, cannot be allowed to succeed financially (the IRS would never allow undocumented people to become wealthy without taxation), and as they take jobs from legitimate citizens they will become more resented and more ostracized.

Or are you pointing to an Islamic problem in this country that the democRats are making worse?

It seems we have several models for addressing Islamic terrorists being played out across the world:

It seems that an overwhelming military response is the most successful reaction so far. But we must have the resolve to carry it through until the viper is killed. Anything short of that is suicide.

The Democrats vicious attacks against President Bush and conservatives will take them to another crushing defeat at the “real” polls. One major problem with Democrats, their liberal base, and their media whores, is that they do not understand how much the majority of Americans in “Red States” despise them and despise everything they stand for.

There is no doubt that the liberals in this country will repeat the French experience if given their way (they sure gave it a good run under Jimmy Carter).

"... the dims (aka DnC types) ..."

Is this a pun?! "D'n C" is the old, medical term for a certain kind of abortion (Dilation and Curetage). How fitting.

.....are the Muslim riots in Europe largely a result of the same kind of socialist, multiculuralist policies that the Democrat leadership is attempting to foist on America?

The riots are mostly the result of the Frogs automatically giving hundreds of thousands of Islamics French citizenship and then watching impotently as these perpetual malcontents bred themselves to 15% of France's population. They're also the result of these Islamics knowing that their hosts don't have the backbone to defend their country.

My sentiments, exactly. Thanks for the posting.

It's my understanding (from where? something I read) that, during WW II FDR put some writers and movie makers on the government payroll; their job- to "propagandize" in favor of our war effort. That's why all those "heroic" WW II films, were made DURING the war (one of them starred Ron Reagan!). Public Service "announcements" were inserted in valiant news clips, and the fireside chats kept up the honorable image of the war. I wouldn't be surprised if the old windbag had NYT and Life and Look on the payroll, too. He was a master! I am not casting aspersions!! Just the opposite.
I think W is too much a gentleman, and in a certain way, naive about the press? Or maybe just too honest to attempt a propaganda machine. But it's beginning to look like we need one.
Your thoughts?

Yes, they are the result of socialism and multiculturalism.

But, they are also the result of misguided immigration policies.

Even without socialism or multiculturalism, importing a culture alien and hostile to the host culture will result in an inevitable conflict.

If France had let 7,000,000 Italians or Poles as opposed to Muslims, you wouldn't be seeing this situation.

A country's leadership must defend it's language, borders, and culture, or else it will be overwhelmed.
