Hofstra President Stuart Rabinowitz said this year's conference was "one of the very first attempts to write the historical record of the Clinton presidency."

Mr. Rabinowitz? Will the historical record that you are writing include chapters on:

Juanita Broaddrick (AR)- rape

Eileen Wellstone (Oxford) - rape

Elizabeth Ward Gracen - rape - post incident intimidation

Kathleen Willey (WH) - sexual assault, intimidations, threats

Sandra Allen James (DC) - sexual assault

22 Year Old 1972 (Yale) - sexual assault

Cristy Zercher - unwelcomed sexual advance, intimidations

Paula Jones (AR) - unwelcomed sexual advance, exposure, bordering on sexual assault

Carolyn Moffet -unwelcomed sexual advance, exposure, bordering on sexual assault

1974 student at University of Arkansas - unwelcomed physical contact

Monica Lewinsky

Gennifer Flowers

Dolly Kyle Browning

Sally Perdue

Betty Dalton

Denise Reeder

He was fortunate enough to surf on the dot.com wave.

And most voters just do not grasp that concept. It makes me insane the way people think the President controls the economy. As if the President sits in the Oval Office and says, hey, let's do this today! And presto, the economy responds within a day or two. I think in many cases, the President in office at any given time is reaping the results of a previous administration's economic policies. It also bothers me that a Dow over 10K seems adequate justification for abuse of office, personal malfeasance, disrespect and downright hostility toward the military, and a liberal Supreme Court (to name a few items).

and the fact that Slick is always out there is for the GOP a good thing..I expect in 2015 we'll still be hearing the Dems say "during the 8 years of the Clinton presidency..."

Just like the immature ass Clinton has always been. "What about other Presidents" is the lament of the immature who always shift the discussion to someone else.

He was a lousy President not because he had his horn tooted by a beast in the Oval Office, but because he wasted eight years and put his country in mortal danger.

Many people think the President has much more power than actually does. As far as they're concerned the governor of their state has nothing to do with the state's economy.

When will he go away? Never! He and his husband think they own the country and are entitled to reside in the White House till' the end of time. As bad as it pains me to say this..........Bush 41 and 43 aren't helping the situation.

He wasn't impeached for getting dirty in the Oval Office with Monica; he was impeached for lying about it.

Bingo! Even worse: for PERJURING himself about it.

What's interesting is that neither he nor the liberals seem to get that. Of course, he also lied about cutting taxes in his '92 campaign. He excoriated Bush41 for "the largest tax hike in history" and then push Congress to raise taxes. And his liberal supporters said, "Well, of course! He HAD to lie about that to get elected."

Lying doesn't count if you're a liberal.

asked if history judges him poorly because of his White House tryst with Monica Lewinsky,

No! Because you lied to a Grand Jury, perjured yourself and should have been arrested and removed from office, and not merely be only the second President to be impeached!

I was reading J.C. Watts' autobiography, "What Color Is a Conservative" and he discussed his thinking at the time of the impeachment vote. He addresses the "all about sex" argument and points out that the lie was not about sex, but about lying in the course of a legal proceeding concerning someone's civil rights being violated by sexual harassment. As I recall, he notes that if the civil rights proceeding had been based on race rather than gender, no one would question the impeachment decision.

"Clinton, who was acquitted by the Senate of perjury and obstruction of justice at his 1999 impeachment trial, contended that the impeachment was not about what he called his "misconduct."

Actually, Klinton was impeached but not removed from the office. He was punished for perjury and obstruction of justice in the last day of his presidency by paying a fine of $20,000.00 and giving up his attorney licensee.

Here we go again... it wasn't about the sex or his tawdry affair in office. It was about lying under oath and subverting the administration of justice. The same libs that insist Scooter Libby must go to jail for lying to a grand jury argued to a man and woman Clinton deserved the benefit of the doubt to giving lying testimony in a court of law. It was proper to impeach Clinton. If the Senate had done its job, he would have been convicted. A President cannot be above the law. End of story.
