Lie about Genocide and Collect Your Pulitzer Prize

The whole issue of Walter Duranty's Pulitzer Prize in 1932 has always pissed me off. It just rankles that he got away with it, so the least we can do is blacken the bastard's name posthumously for the sake of the millions of dead Ukrainians he lied about.

Now that Harold Pinter has won a Nobel Prize for literature, I guess the tradition of lionising men of letters who are apologists for mass murdering leftists is still alive and well.

extremely shameful.. This isn't just about "reporting".. the minimizing ongoing genocide of Ukranians, the New York Times led many honest people to grossly underestimate the threat and horror of communism. I don't think it's going to far to say this bad reporting changed history in a way that resulted in many needless deaths.

Perhaps the Nobel committee will nominate the author of a very famous 20th century book titled Mein Kampf? It would certainly be a consistent move for them.

Naw, being anti-Hitler provides them a fig leaf for their adulatory treatment of all the other 20th century mass murderers.

Think of it as tokenism.

Perhaps they'll do the next best thing and nominate Noam Chomsky.

There are plenty of NYT writers today equally suited for awards for covering up for Castro, Ho, and now, trying for Saddam.

Actually, the N.Y. Times wasn't very anti-Hitler and during the entirety of the Nazis power, mentioned Concentration Camps exactly four times, on toto, hidden in the back pages, as the Sultzburgers were trying to get their kith and kin out of harm's reach.

The Nobel committee is going to open a new category in conjunction with the Academy Awards just so they can award The Protocols of Zion as best screenplay.

My reference was to contemporary liberalism. Hitler is a "safe" bad guy for them, because he's not a current threat. Living bad guys that could conceivably show up in tomorrow's paper saying something nasty about them get the kid glove treatment.

Liberals stand for virtue only when it costs them nothing.
