Red Alert on Code Pink! [OUTRAGEOUS]
Accuracy in the Media ^ | 11/15/05 | Sharon Hughes

Posted on 11/16/2005, 12:48:50 AM by coffee260

CODE PINK 's invasion on school campuses and recruitment offices this week with their "Not Your Soldier" & "National Stand Down" student days on November 17th & 18th is a disgrace! They have organized students across the country to stand up to say, "We are NOT YOUR SOLDIERS" — "We demand for our schools and communities to be military-free zones" on Thursday, and working together with the National Call for Nonviolent Resistance to stage a "Stand Down Day" at military recruiting stations on Friday.

Every red-blooded American aware of these activities should counter their efforts by getting this information out to as many people as possible, and if possible by showing up at the same recruiting stations to show support for our troops' efforts. And don't think they don't need it!

I Iraq, the bad guys will often set up in a school, or mosque, to make it harder for our guys to get them.

When we start having house-to-house fighting here, these schools would be shoe-in candidates to be "insurgent strongholds"- the denizens are fighting hard right now to keep the good guys out.

Code Pink supports our enemies in Iraq. This group should be prosecuted by the Justice Department.

And I demand the right to have military recruiters on my campus so I can enlist if I so desire.

Let them do whatever they want. There are far more real patriotic, conservative Americans in this country than a few wigged out commies. My kids were raised to think for themselves - even to the extent of disagreement with the teacher! I attended several conferences where I put the teachers and administrators on their marks to stop trying to teach my kids to think like wimps. Teachers, school administrators, pinkos, even customers are NOT always right.

My kids made their choices - granted they didn't go into the military (I retired from the Navy), but they had enough info from the recruiters to make an informed decision.

The way to stand up to these wackos is to talk to your kids (or grandkids) and teach them to be thinking, questioning, and information seeking individuals.

In spite of all the school protests and blockades and all that kids still turn to the military in peacetime. There is a war going on with all the press telling us how many got killed - that causes the recruiting to go down. During peacetime it will go back up.

I was a boot camp drill instructor when Carter tried to rescue the Iranian hostages - I had 4 or 5 recruits that actually went awol because they were afraid of going to war.

Just the nature of the beast (I was a recruiter too).

One statistic that has escaped all this - during this period of "war" in Iraq (what is it like 1 1/2 years now) how many military personnel got killed in the US in non-combat accidents? It amazes me that in Iraq people are TRYING to kill soldiers yet the casualty number is probably remarkably similary to non-combat military deaths where nobody is trying to kill soldiers - just a thought.
