Hat Tip: Lifelike Pundits)

Senator Biden (D - DE) claims that we are using “old Soviet Gulags” to jail suspected terrorists, however he note he has not seen the “briefing” that may or MAY NOT HAVE reported this.

MATTHEWS: Senator, let me ask you your personal view of this issue of torture of prisoners and why do you think we need to have these sort of hidden prison areas in eastern Europe, out of sight, out of mind, what is that about?

BIDEN: We don’t, we don’t, we don’t, we shouldn’t, it’s counter productive. John McCain is correct, Lindsay Graham is correct, I think I’m correct and look, this traces all the way back to the way in which Abu Ghraib started to turn things badly for us, real badly. What are we doing? What in God’s name can we profit from having these dentention centers and I’m saying this — I do not have, I have not gotten the breifing so I can say this. If in fact they are using old Soviet Gulags in some of these countries, I mean what’s going on here?

MATTHEWS: [smirking] Well it doesn’t look good.

Ankle Biting Pundits is also on this.

There is no evidence .. Nada, None, Zip to back up these WILD accusations

Do these Dems/Libs realize they are calling our Military and the Intelligence Officers ... commies??

That comparing them to the torture that John McCain received ... they are calling our Military the same as the Vietcong's ??

WHY doesn't it dawn on these Morons that one of the reasons for these secret prisons may be not to let the Enemy know where there buddies are being kept??

Why do the Dems/Libs hate our military and our country so much they would accuse them of these things WITHOUT Evidence ???

If the administrtion were stupid enough to do that then maybe it would need the boot. There's plenty of money to build new facilities for such things - or to to lease facilities that carry no such political baggage.

Sounds like a red herring bold-faced lie to me.

Joe, the babbling idiot, utters incomprehensible nonsense, and Chrissy starts drooling conspiracy delusions.

Those two should get "married" in Massachusetts, they're so special.

Some insight into Joe Biden's motivations :

Last month [Feb 2002], Biden held a campaign fund-raiser at the posh estate of Sadegh Namazikhah, an unofficial – or, at least, unregistered – pro-Iran lobbyist. The fund-raiser brought in $30,000, according to investigative reporter Kenneth Timmerman, the man who recently wrote the best-selling book "Shakedown," about Jesse Jackson. According to Timmerman's report in Insight magazine, Biden delivered a sweeping condemnation of Bush's "Axis of Evil" formula. Why would Biden court Iranian-Americans partial to the repressive, terror-supporting, totalitarian regime? The answer appears to be as simple as a dollar sign. Biden is hardly alone. --------- "Biden joins 'Axis of Evil'," by Joseph Farrah,  WorldNetDaily.com , Posted: March 21, 2002

Pssst hey joe, I have a few islamderthals squirreled away in my barn. The administration let me hide them from you here. I cook a ham for them once every 3 weeks when they're hungry enough to eat it.

I received this in 2 different e-mails today from a couple of easily influenced friends. Sent it back each time with a message I don't think I'd be allowed to post on FR.

MARCH 2002 mid month : (CONOCO-BACKED AMERICAN-IRANIAN COUNCIL FETES RINO CHUCK HAGEL; DEMOCRATS BIDEN AND TORICELLI ARE INVITED) Biden is hardly alone. Just last week, the American-Iranian Council, a group backed by Conoco and other U.S. oil companies, feted Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb., the only Republican official to criticize Bush's "Axis of Evil" speech. Biden was invited, along with Sen. Robert Torricelli, D-N.J. ---------- "Biden joins 'Axis of Evil'," by Joseph Farrah,  WorldNetDaily.com , Posted: March 21, 2002

JANUARY 2004 : (DAVOS, SWITZERLAND : WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM : US SENATOR BIDEN MEETS WITH IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTER KAMAL KHARRAZI) Jan 24 - Senior US senator Joseph Biden criticized the American government's policies on Iran during a meeting with Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi on the fringes of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, foreign ministry said on Saturday. The ranking Democrat on the senate Foreign Relations Committee from Delaware, "stressed the importance of Iran and the role which it can play in the sensitive and volatile region" in the Middle East. Joseph Biden told the Iranian foreign minister that he hoped the existing problems between the Islamic Republic of Iran and America would be removed someday. Kharrazi had a 90-minute meeting with Biden in a rare high-level contact between Tehran and Washington, which have held no official relations since the 1979 Islamic revolution, in full view of reporters in a lounge at the World Economic Forum. Kharrazi, in turn, said "The Iranian nation has suffered gravely from the antagonistic steps of the American government and so long as these wrong policies continue, there will be no ground for dialogue and improving the two countries' relations." The Iranian foreign minister stressed that:"American statesmen are required first to change their existing approach and prove their good will in order to pave the way for dialogue and diplomatic relations according to mutual respect." --------- "US senator slams anti-Iran policies," IRIB News, Tehran, 2004/01/24
