Worthy of note: Warner and Stevens are the most senior GOP senate members, are they not? Very good that they are defending the president.

Ted Stevens? He is still a Senator? I guess he lied on the Senate Floor when he said he would resign if his precious Bridge To Nowhere was defunded.

CHENEY FIGHTS BACK Wed Nov 16 2005 18:56:46 ET Excerpts As Prepared For Delivery Tonight by Vice President Cheney

"What we’re hearing now is some politicians contradicting their own statements and making a play for political advantage in the middle of a war. The saddest part is that our people in uniform have been subjected to these cynical and pernicious falsehoods day in and day out. American soldiers and Marines are out there every day in dangerous conditions and desert temperatures – conducting raids, training Iraqi forces, countering attacks, seizing weapons, and capturing killers – and back home a few opportunists are suggesting they were sent into battle for a lie."

"The President and I cannot prevent certain politicians from losing their memory, or their backbone – but we’re not going to sit by and let them rewrite history."

"We’re going to continue throwing their own words back at them. And far more important, we’re going to continue sending a consistent message to the men and women who are fighting the war on terror in Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other fronts."

Yesterdays some one posted a list of RINO's to vote out and Ted Stevens and Lisa Murkowski were listed I was dumb founded these two are pro military conservatives.

It seems that some disinformation is being posted by some trolls or that people are seeing lib stuff disguised as conservative stuff and posting it not knowing the difference.

Well put -- and they should work HARD to clean out their ranks of RINOs and support those that care about this country and not their personal politics.

If the Warner mentioned in this article is my senior senator from VA, he needs to be added to that RINO list.

Good, but late. Where in the heck have they been before now while the President was being Barbecued by the lying demoncrats and their cohorts in the Media. My guess is that the base is starting to let these bunch of dumb asses know they we are watching their every move, and they have been busy hurting and not helping their own President. Why is the NRSC giving $200,000 to Sen. Chafee, one of the 7 dwarfs of the Mini Party Named RINO, who is in a primary battle with a Conservative [BIG C] republican [Little like their brains]. This is a man that couldn't endorse his own President for reelection, and is at odds with the Party on all issues. This Party better get it's self together very quickly or 06' will not be pretty.

Perhaps they finally noticed something happening with the telephones in their offices. Or, perhaps they have noticed a perceptable drop in contributions to the RNC. I know that I have stopped giving. I'm not going to stop financially supporting GOP candidates, I just want to make absolutely certain that not one dime of my money goes to support those who have not supported the president and the WOT.

When the Warner amendment passed, I stopped even being polite when the RNC called, I just hung up on them.

His was actually the first political campaign I ever worked on, back in 1984. In the immortal words of John Belushi, all I can say is: "sorry". He did throw a good party though on election night. There was much to celebrate that day. Great memories!

The libs have been in an illegitimate war with GW since the 2000 elections.

They have dug themselves a hole that is now a quagmire.

It is time they stop this illegitimate war and move on.
