I know it's not available now which is why I phrased it as When it's available.. but that's a minor point. Do you fly on airplanes? use a computer? receive regular medical and dental care? own a microwave? All of these things undependable science has made available to you.

Your complaint against sciense is not supported by your buying history.

There are different branches of science, aren't there? The person who invented the microwave didn't necessarily believe he descended from an ape-like creature. I love science. It's just scientists I have a problem with.

How do they make a vaccine anyway? First, isn't the flu caused by a virus, which you can't defend against much anyway, and there are so many viruses, which one do they pick? Do they give you a live one, thus giving you the flu in the first place? Then it mutates, so the vaccine is useless. Some vaccines may work, and some may not. But you can get a useless dose of mercury and whatever brew they have mixed up in it and make some drug company rich. Just frequent hand washing is the most advised best method.

Very true. Hand-washing and staying away from sick people.

Actually, frequent hand washing with antibacterial soap can be bad for you. The 1% of bacteria that aren't killed, have a resistance to the soap, and they will grow with impunity. Make sure you wash with regular soap.

There is science and then there is science. I can prove a microwave heats dinner every day. I can stand by the airport and watch planes take off and know that works.

On the other hand, will mankind ever know how long grass has been growing on this planet?

No!

Christianity is not in any way singular, I deal with it as I do with all Near Eastern mystery religions, from Mithraism to Islam. They are for the credulous and the insecure.

Religion (and Philosophy) is also for seekers of the truth...As we know, science is never about truth or reality, since no scientific theory can ever be proven to be true; theories can only be useful or useless.

Not to be confused with the pompous and obnoxious, who assume they understand everything.

No!

I leave it to you and your inestimable grasp of logical principles to begin the proof of the negative. Good luck.
