It's not over stated.
"ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE (EMP) AND TEMPEST PROTECTION FOR FACILITIES"
When I was an Air Force Telecommunications Controller the
EMP threat was very serious. Anything that has a Coil will
stop working. Coils can act like mini antennas coupling current
into a device. Autos have Ignition coils. Phones will be
burned up. Resistors will burn through and Capacitors will
pop. Modern technology that is not hardened will stop.
We only have one Airborne Laser that is not a testbed.
And It's not operational yet.
Bump
I'm not stating any classified information, when I say, this threat has already been analyzed, and taken into account by our military. It is actually a quite simple task, to harden electronics from an EMP discharge, by using shielded, grounded metal enclosures. Moreover, many electronic chips, which the military uses, are also hardened, to resist this problem. The EMP causes transients, which fry circuitry, however, lightening also causes transients, and many important installations, take transients into account. The only important consideration, is that the shielding is properly installed. The effect is known as the tesla effect, which basically, is that being in a metal cage, or box, is the safest place to be, in a lightening (in this case, transient) storm. I have no doubt, however, that the damage that would be caused to our civilian infrastructure, would be enormous, and costly, but hardly anything that would bring us to ur knees. Beware the country that attempts to attack on our military, in such a manner, is my only advice for any country contemplating such a manuver.
Well, one expected reaction from the MSM/Liberals/Democrats would be, " why didn't you do anything about it, you were asleep at the wheel on the war on terror " while at the same time, hampering , obstructing every effort we have been doing for the last 4 years on the war on terror.Yes. That's true. But if and when the terror attack is large enough, I personally am going to go out and join a local militia (assuming I'm not among the toasted), and I very strongly suspect that others will do the same. And I'm just guessing here, but I don't thing the leftists will be telling us what to do anymore.
Don't get me wrong. I don't look forward to such a set of events. I really like things the way they are. I really like living in a society where leftists get to lie without consequences. (I only wish good people spoke up more loudly.)
I'm just saying, come the unspeakable act of terror against our country, and the Day of The Leftist will be over.
I doubt that Iran would attack the U.S. but they may attack Israel just as they said they would if they had nukes.
Back up your family photos [secrets | company docs | etc.] by burning them on CD/DVD. Equipment is expensive... but data is priceless!
lol, k :)
