Wow! Tammy's pretty fired up! Telling it like it is! I never voted for the 'Toon, but I was a political naif then too. Two-thousand really opened my eyes!
Was re-reading some of Ann Coulter today ... she described the first glimpse of Clinton's 'fat, oleaginous face'. To-a-tee description.

Laura does two shows a day?
They carried her show this morning, only there were a couple of guys on the segment I heard.
The funny thing is that they played Laura's show because John Gambling was off today, and she wasn't in either.

It's hard to believe a pro-choice lesbian could be 'conservative', but, darn it, in every other respect Ms. Bruce convinced me a long time ago that she is one of us. I've read her books. The lady ROCKS.

But how can someone be so right and so wrong at the same time.

I don't know. I gave up trying to understand gays and lesbians a long time ago. I don't want them getting married but "live and let live" is where I ended up. And my beliefs on abortion are considered by some to be "moderate", too. And I'm against the death penalty. And I'm an environmentalist. But in just about every other respect I consider myself conservative. What's wrong with me?

I don't know what is wrong with you?:) I don't mean to sound as if I am being to judgemental, but just so I can understand you better, how can someone call themselves conservative and support abortion? It seems to be the two are like oil and water if you know what I mean.
God Bless...:)

I don't support abortion. I'm pro-life. But my take on it is similar to President Bush's and Rush Limbaugh's: We are not ready nor are we willing to legislate abortion out of society. It's here for now. The only way we can reduce the number of abortions is to change people's attitudes (or as Rush puts it 'change people's hearts) towards it. Where I am "moderate" is that I oppose making abortion illegal because the first group of people in society that will suffer the most are the poor. Buffy Lilly White will still get her abortion because daddy can fly her to Canada or Mexico to have it done. But Keesha living on $20K a year will go to a back alley. Our job is to convince both that it's wrong so they don't want one in the first place.
If my position is confusing I understand. Some get it, some don't. If I could wave a magic wand no child would ever be aborted again.
God bless you, too. :-)
