Such solemn intonation... that doesn't pass any rational test of logic. Prove the association, with sources please. Your repeated dumping of a guilt trip on conservative after Arnold's Pyrrhic, half-baked special election is most amusing, not to mention your TOTAL unwillingness to hold him accountable for his pathetic inability to rise even to your minimal expectations.
It's classic battered Republican syndrome. There is a cure you know.
ROFL! Ping!
Did you ever consider that his popularity is waning as a direct result of his actions that are being criticized? It is not the man, it is his actions, something that is totally under his control. Keep on spinning!
Priceless!!!
BillyBoy! Someone has GOT to get this to the blogosphere & the MSM and ALL of talk radio/TV land immediately!!!
It needs first to go to Hew Hewittless, then to Dennis Prager, than to Sean Hannity!!! This might finally break the suckshun on their lips stuck to Arnold Schwartzenegger's butt!!!
Good one
Remember the ebay spoof on Gray Davis? It was a perfect copy of the ebay design, touting Gray Davis' pay-to-play antics. An all time classic!
Maybe someone can copy the format of the JoinArnold site and start a new JoinGray site. It could work.
Excellent question.
"In your opinion, with no evidence, against a great deal of inferential data to the contrary and in accordance with the mantra of the Republican loyalist still roaming in the wild. "
??? - lets see, I provide no evidence again data that is inferered. So are you saying that your inferential data equates to evidence ?
The hard data is that the props which were conservative lost. - period -
Unless you can point to some "inferential data" that somehow shows that the conservative wing cast aside their dislike of the RINO Arnold in the hopes that they could use his influence to gets these conservative props passed, there is no other explanation for their failure except the lack of support.
Arnold is a resource that could and should have been nurtured by the conservatives as a way reach their goals. Foolishly many have turned their backs - condemning themselves to defeat once again.
"....hold him accountable for his pathetic inability to rise even to your minimal expectations. "
LOL - this from a McClintock supporter ?
C'mon, I know you can do better then that ....
"It is not the man, it is his actions, something that is totally under his control. "
You still don't get it do you ?
WHATEVER his actions were, or are, he WAS supporting props which if passed would further the conservative cause.
Arnold was the ONLY shot at getting these through, and because of the fixation of some Republicans and Conservatives on OTHER of his actions, these props failed.
So, do you feel better now ?
Things that YOU wanted to see happen did not, because you couldn't stand the thought that the RINO Arnold might have handed them to you.
There is a world of difference between a governor and a single legislator. A governor is capable of effecting action upon his own. Examples are appointments, budgets, signature/veto authority, and use of the bully pulpit. Arnold flunks on all of them. By contrast, it was McClintock who got rid of the car tax in a Democrat legislature. That took leadership, something with which you are clearly unfamiliar.
C'mon, I know you can do better then that ....
You offer nothing, as usual.
As Rush was talking about this, yesterday, I had the thought that perhaps Arnold has given up on the Republican party and has decided to join the Democrats. It brought to mind the explanation on the Democratic Socialist web page that describes the fact that the Socialists had given up trying to operate as a third party and decided to work within one of the two major parties, the Democrats. In the case of California, the Republican party has been nearly neutralized through gerrymandering, so maybe Arnold has decided to make his changes from within the Democrat Party. He never was much of a conservative, anyway.
"By contrast, it was McClintock who got rid of the car tax in a Democrat legislature. "
Oh, and where did he get the money to replace that revenue with ...?
( Here's a hint - he didn't - we will simply pay that money in some different form, but it makes eveyone feel much better dosen't it ? )
... and you're right, Arnold sure flunked on rallying the troops to get CONSERVATIVE issues passed.
I suppose he's supposed to work really, really hard to get them passed while supporters of those issues are attacking him.
Excuse me, but the two propositions that were closest to passage were 73 and 75. Looks to me like CONSERVATIVES did show up and your precious "moderates" who don't particularly care about such things were the ones who didn't show.
You still haven't offered a single fact in support of your imagined thesis.
Funny you'd mention that. Did you happen to catch Limbaugh's remarks about Schwarzenegger and California Conservatives yesterday?
"Why would Schwarzenegger need California Conservatives?"
Rush is correct, but you missed the point.
You still haven't figured out that you have been used. You wanted to believe that Arnold would cut spending. He lied to you to get your support. He had no intention of governing as a conservative as his "pre-school" initiative easily proved. The man is a closet socialist and always has been.
Even if one would take it, the way you mis-took it, it's still a far cry from the swooning Hewitt, Prager and Hannity have been creating hickies on the Governor's butt!!!
