Face forward for a moment ~ only forward.
No posturing, no self-justification, no blaming, no links.

Pretend you are the Governor of CA.

Seriously, what would you do, right now, today?

... are you saying their campaign was inept ?

You are looking more ridiculous with every post, RS. Voters don't RUN campaigns. Conservative voters "supported" the initiatives. Politicians and party operatives runing the campaign were inept.

BTW, since one of your cohorts here says conservatives are only about 15% -- where did the other almost 35% come from ?

Ask them.

What would YOU do?

ANYONE who thought that Arnold would be able to single-handedly cut spending .....

The Austrian's campaign promised spending cuts. The shock heard round the state came just months later when the Austrian proposed large spending increases and then approved them.

The Austrian's complicity in these large increases was carried out in a manner that kept elected Republican representatives from participating in the process and neutered their votes which would have carried out-sized weight if the California Legislature had been forced to override a gubernatorial veto.

It was a 2fer for the Wilson gang which negotiated directly with the Democrats, leaving the CAGOP to twist in the wind.

"Politicians and party operatives runing the campaign were inept. "

So lets see, by comparison the incredibly successfull non-inept Conservative Politicians and party operatives were able to accomplish just what in the last election ?

... and just what kept them from running their OWN parallel support campaigns on these important conservative issues ?

( oh that's right, true conservatives don't ever want to have any contact with that mushy middle )

...on these important conservative issues ...

Read up-thread, RS. Many of these "reforms" were not conservative at all, as you continue to ignore.
I'm tired of your empty analysis and denial of facts. I'm done here.

So if true the solution is to punish him by NOT supporting props that would give him the tools he needed - a great way to accomplish your goals !

"Many of these "reforms" were not conservative at all, as you continue to ignore."

You folks can't even sing from the same songsheet - The props were conservative, the props weren't conservative - conservatives are a small percentage, conservatives were most of the votes for the props - conservatives turned their backs on Arnold, conservatives supported Arnold but he didn't pull his weight.

All of this because you just won't face the reality that you NEED someone that can reach out and bring in those extra votes, and it hurts your own cause to attack him because that is what he needs to do.

If Arnold could have pushed through the Paycheck Protection act, I couldn't care less if he has to dance with a naked transvestite on Wilshire Blvd to do it.

a great way to accomplish your goals

Starting on Aug 6, 2003 my goal was to keep a foreign national from access to a domestic, US, political office. After the Wilson gang high jacked the election my goal was to warn all who had voted for the Schwarzenegger the gravity of their mistake. Today my goal is to remove Schwarzenegger from public office as soon as is legally possible.

The CAGOP is now fully aware that they have "lost control" of their candidate and have no good idea what to do. They can't recall him. No time. They can't force him to quit. Bustamate takes over. They can't publicly attack him. They'll ruin the last shred of credibility they posses. They can't reason with him. He's a European liberal who's on a different political wave length. He understands profit but has little appreciation of US traditions and the sacrifices that created them. The CAGOP can only pray that before he quits on his own or loses in the general election he doesn't begin working openly with the Democrats to destroy the state.

Most responsible Californians are scared to death that Schwarzenegger will join with the Democrats, authorize a $100B bond and divy out the proceeds to unions on prevailing wage work. Cooperating with Democrats on legislation is, after all, with a handful of exceptions motivated by the tines of the mob's pitchforks, Schwarzenegger's proven modus operandi.

Using a liberal to reach out to other liberals, to achieve political power, to carry out liberal policies, seems an odd path to achieve conservative goals.

There you go with that baseless and unsupported charge again. Who besides conservatives got Propositions 73, 75, and 77 on the ballot in the first place? Who did the signature collections? Arnold got on that bandwagon very late and thereafter public support for those propositions FELL.

Nice story, when will you make up the second chapter ?

Didn't you write one a long while ago about him wanting to give all illegals driver's licences ?

OK - so who jumped ship when Arnold got on the bandwagon ?

Was it his liberal buddies who were happy with the conservative ballots before he got on board ?

Or maybe it was the conservatives who were so pig-headed they abandoned their own props ?
