Monday, Dec. 5, 2005 8:05 p.m. EST DNC's Dean: U.S. Will Lose War in Iraq

Democratic Chairman Howard Dean on Monday likened the war in Iraq to Vietnam and said, "The idea that the United States is going to win the war in Iraq is just plain wrong," comments that drew immediate fire from Republicans.

In an interview with WOAI-AM in San Antonio, Dean criticized what he called President Bush's "permanent commitment to a failed strategy" while saying, "We need to be out of there and take the targets off our troops' back." Dean suggested "a strategic redeployment" of U.S. troops over the next two years.

"I wish the president had paid more attention to the history of Iraq before we had gotten in there," Dean said. "The idea that we're going to win this war is just plain wrong."

Republican Chairman Ken Mehlman said Dean's "outrageous prediction sends the wrong message to our troops, the enemy, and the Iraqi people just 10 days before historic elections."

Is that a picture of the Mother Ship coming for Dean?

Well, wrong message from our point of view.

For Dems, they are desperate to stop progress. The Rah rah terrorist crowd team here in the U.S. is urging the former Saddamists and terrorists to pull out all stops to prevent a successful election. Those in Iraq use bombs, the Dems toss verbal bombs into the air.

The way Kennedy tried to stop progress during previous Iraqi election.

Didn't work then, won't work now.

We cannot win the War On Poverty. What is our pullout date?

Classic. What a great comeback.

I do not intent this to be pessimistic, but how can this country survive with such blatant and open traitors at the very top of our ranks????

Easily - just keep them out of power...

Indeed the Republic seems too feeble to defend itself against the open fifth column in its midst. Let's see where the people are in 06. We see it you can believe that many more do also.

We've survived a civil war. We've survived the '60's. We can survive this. We haven't actually had more then low level violence at this point. Few pies. Few burglaries at RNC headquarter with smashed in windows. No bombings yet. No deaths yet.

The way to survive is to drive them into further irrelvancy. Ever smaller minority until these aging hippies finally die from the inability of science to keep them alive any longer.

It is way beyond my comprehension why ANYONE (A-N-Y-O-N-E!!!) could STAND to call himself or herself a Democrat.

strategic redeployment

That should scare the islamofascists to death. Since victory is not a strategy, how can defeat by retreat be a strategy?

Er...excuse me...I believe we already won the war in Iraq. We defeated them rather rapidly!

It is the terrorists we are trying to get rid of so the Iraqis can be left in peace and run their own government!

You know, the same group of people that attacked the U.S. Twin Tower, or have you forgotten that?

Or are you one of them?

Two reasons to be _thankful_:

IDIOT KERRY DID NOT BECOME OUR PRESIDENT

IDIOT DEAN DID NOT BECOME OUR PRESIDENT

Oh, here's a third:

IDIOT DEAN IS RUNNING THE DNC

Yeaarrrrrrrgh!

That man is insane, literally. I wish he would shut up. He's doing nothing but damaging our troops' morale. He doesn't think when he screams out, it just flows...the crap that comes from his mouth.

President Bush needs to come down hard on people like this who cast negative view like this on our efforts. What Dean said is unacceptable.

"Seems Dean's been invited to tehran to meet thug-in-chief Ahmed Nezhad. Of course, aid and comfort to the enemy is a creed any ambitious Dem knows only too well...."

Is Kerry going with him to cut a deal with jihadist...like he did for us in Paris with Vietnam?

I've been wondering the same thing myself. Is it possible for the people of other states to recall these so-called legislators?
