Maybe this will make a terrorist think twice.
I'm worried that it will be an excuse to get rid of air marshals.
Between this and the recent decision to let up on what kinds of items people can carry on flights (for example pocketknives), it looks like we're trying to systematically dismantle airline security for some reason I can't figure out.
Theoretically we are allowing more items to be carried on to flights "so security can focus more on detecting explosives". One would seem to be forgetting that the problem we were having on 9/11/2001 didn't have anything to do with carrying explosives onto planes.
President Bush doesn't care abut deranged people.
What if all terrorists claim that they are "bipolar?" Hmmmmmm. This could be a way out for Saddam, Osama and Zawqawi.
The fact that it took me a while to figure out you were sarcastic is not because I am stupid. It is because your story is not all that far from reality.

Oh, you absolutely know it. The ACLU is probably having meetings right now on how they will dismantle federal regulations put in place to protect airplane passengers. This could just be the case they were waiting for.
I heard the man may be Hispanic as well.
If so, no matter that it was the Air Marshall that shot him, the family will sue the LAPD.
Believe me ..this will result in investigations, pontificating, tut,tutting, hind sighting.
I am listening to the defense attorneys present all the questions that must be asked about this shooting when investigating.(We must consider that there are many bi polars flying and off their meds???).
Nancy Grace said if they do anything to the air marshals for this, she doesn't want to fly. You don't have time for a mental health evaluation of the perp while in hot pursuit.
