Newsweek: “Bush Might Be The Most Isolated President in Modern History”
NewsBusters ^ | 12/11/05 | Noel Sheppard

The latest issue of Newsweek featured an almost 4,000 word article – written by Evan Thomas and Richard Wolffe, with assistance from Holly Bailey, Daniel Klaidman, Eleanor Clift, Michael Hirsh and John Barry – that painted a pretty bleak picture of President Bush as possibly being “the most isolated president in modern history.” The authors referred to Bush as being in a “bubble” that blocks out thoughts, policy suggestions, and ideas that he is either unwilling or intellectually incapable of absorbing. Some of the lowlights:

Most isolated president? Isolated! That distinction belongs to Jiminy Carter! The peanut farmer remained holed up in the White House while American hostages were being paraded around in Iran. I remember the nightly news broadcasts, where they incremented the count of days gone by without action from Carter. Carter wouldn't listen to anyones' advice on what to do. Carter also carries the distinction of being the worst president of all time.

Their circulation has dropped since the late '80s. Most of the MSM is losing circulation. Just a matter of time...

Nah, I have disagree with you about Carter. Clinton had 8 tho, I'm sure Carter would have exceeded Slick Willy given the same 2 terms.

Clinton is my vote for worst President ever.

Newsweek: The ignorance of its reporters is exceeded only by the dishonesty of its editors.

It is most gratifying to live in a period when these *people* can spend massive amounts of effort whinging to each other, and convincing themselves their analysis bears some resemblance to reality, only to lose with increasing consistency.

"Eleanor Clift is soooooooooooooo annoying."

If being stupid were a crime, Eleanor would be strapped to a guerney waiting for a lethal injection on death row. What a partisan hack.

The last ime I bought an issue of Newsweek was right after 9-11. As I was on a mission to chonicle the events that led up to, and witnessed 9-11, including photogrpahs, so that we NEVER FORGET. The books and magazines are always on our cocktail table in the living room....

Aside from that issue, I never buy Newsweek, or Time.

As for news... it's The Wall Street Journal, Free Republic, Drudge, Boortz, El Rushbo, and my military friends (from an obvious military logistics perspective).

The only ones isolated from reality is Newsweak and the
other former MSM rat pack. Far from being isolated, it looks to me that Bush is being smeared every day, 7 days a week. He's the most talked about President we've ever had!

What seems to be isolated from Newsweak writers is truthful journalism, patriotism, respect for the President, respect for our troops, and respect for the citizens of the nation.

I took a free subscription to that lying rag in 1992. I canceled it before it was finished. They didn't even try to hide their lies and prejudices.

Then we disagree. I stand by my statement. Willy had too much sex on his mind and didn't get anything else done in his 8 years. While Carter spent his energy on doing real damage to the country in his 4 years in the White House.

Waaaa! He's not listening to me! Waaaaa! I'm the most important person in the world! Waaaa! No one who doesn't do exactly what I say can be informed or intelligent or rational. Because I say so. Waaaa!

What world-historical whiners these commies are...

Worst President of all time: Billary Clinton
Worst EX-President of all time: Jimmah Cahtah

Now, in the case of Carter's place as the WORST EX-PRESIDENT OF ALL TIME, everyone has to understand that this is fully tenured. He has it forever. No one could possibly be worse than Jimmah; this will remain true even if Billary wants to make a run at the title.

In large part, I would say no. However, there are occasionally some respondents who are less-than-informed, posing as experts, making dopey statements.

It seems as if the editors of Newsweek hold the combined integrity of about 3,000 sand fleas. Bolstered by the collective IQs (the equivalence of a herd of sheep) of Eleanor Clift and her cohorts, its surprising that they could even spell bubble.

I a;ways think of Newsweek as Weekly Calumny, written by 5th Column enablers

Always the same tired story! We've been hearing this MSM dribble for a good 4 years now. AND YET, we still re-elected him after the first 3 years of it. Hmm go figure!

Rerun. Rerun. Repeating the tired theme, pushed hard by the lamestreamers that Bush is really dumb but ol Al Gore is smart. The anti-Bush, anti-American snobbed surrendercrats cannot even attempt to be creative. Out of ideas, out of conviction, out of power, and out of their minds.

It just must not be easy being sour on American, ticked at Christianity and God, simmering in a hate-filled stew of their own making.

Eat dirt dungheads and Merry Christmas.
