So let's see: If the Iranians (or anyone) nuke Israel, we see mushroom clouds at Meccah, Paris, Bonn, and Tehran! A very messy finish. I wouldn't realy want that if I was President of Iran or Syria or King of Saudi... with The French you never know!

Yeah, that too, kind of megalomaniac and religion-mania
all rolled into one. Do they have lithium in Iran?

No way. All those Mid East Muslims love mobs and lynch mobs to multiply their emotions and feed off them. That's how they get their rocks off

'Bout time to add Israel and her people to my prayer list, on another note....Lord help them.

I still remember Sharon being the first to offer aid to Russia and invite the traumatized kids to Israel for treatment and vacation, after Beslan. He is still among my heroes.

Who said anything about is being a welcome event? I explicitly said otherwise. But it would not have any appreciable direct physical effect on the rest of us. Not at all. Child mortality? What are you smoking? In Iran, sure. Here, not a chance.

The Syrians weren't happy about the idea of an Israeli armor division in downtown Damascus. That unhappiness had nothing to do with expecting the Israelis to stay forever, and everything to do with the business end of armor divisions. As for Egypt, they did better at the start obviously, but they lost too and decisively so. To armor breakthrough not just air, and right along the canal not just because they advanced.

Actually I am a scientist and do know what I am talking about. The amount of devices you mentioned some 200 in sustained attack WOULD MOST DEFINITLY have an effect on the USA. As well as Europe, Asia and Africa. Anyone who thinks this is a desirable income is in your own words "smoking something"

LOL. Your sick fantasy life is that Jihad is not eternal to Islam. That Islam can be stoped short of wasting their holy cities. That's what it will come down to though it may be a decade away. Then again, it may be a year or two away. Islamic terrorists or terrorist nation (Iran) will act first in a huge way. Then bye bye Mecca Medina Qom

Sadly, the only thing that's going to change the dynamics in that region is another full-scale war. Israel is right - the mini-hitler in Iran is a danger not only to Israel but to the West itself. He must be stopped before he attempts to implement the Final Solution Pt II.

Agreed I still think they need to be taken care of before they gain any nuclear capability

How about global economic meltdown? That would certainly happen if the source of world oil supplies turned radioactive.

Then it is incumbent on the Iranian people to finally stand-up to these @##holes and revolt. You can't tell me that the US and Israel wouldn't support an uprising. Don't bring up the thing about the Iraqis who revolted after Desert Storm. GWB is already finishing up his dad's work as it is and this would be another perfect opportunity to "spread democracy and freedom". "Peace through superior firepower."

But the iron grip of the government institution of Iran, will require a bloody overthrow. If the Iranian people don't do it, it may be too late for any but a nuclear solution.

I fear so (see post #3 on this thread).

I'm not convinced that Jihadists (from any country) would nuke Jerusalem.

It's a holy city for Muslims as well because it's the place where Mohammed arrived on his night flight from Mecca and it's the place from where he departed on a tour of the levels of heaven. Mohammed's footprint can allegedly be seen on a rock in the middle of this shrine.

I think what we've learned from Iraq is that without overwhelming force, there will be no regime overthrow in Iran. Established and still powerful tyrannical regimes don't go quietly or easily. The Iranian people aren't armed, don't forget.

Here is one of his recent speeches stirring up the crowd. He delivers his destroy Israel speeches in front of crowds:

Ahmadinejad was speaking to thousands of the voluntary Basij militia on the 25th anniversary of the corps created by Islamic revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to defend the country during the 1980-1988 war with Iraq.

"You have no rights to ask questions" about Iran's nuclear activities, he thundered, said AFP.

"The Iranian nation has crushed them under their feet and will defend its nuclear rights with wisdom, power and unity," he said, drawing chants of "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" from the crowd.

It's the old MAD plan: Mutualy Assured Destruction. The Arabs know they would suffer greatly in retalitation, including MECCA. I don't think they want their holy site melted,

MAD doesn't apply here. They believe Allah will protect MECCA come hell or high explosives.

I saw the smoke way before I saw the planes...Stood on the deck, laughing my butt off.......Them F-14's leak like a son of a gun, too
