President Bush signed H.R. 2520, the Stem Cell Therapeutic and Research Act of 2005, to expand federal support of [I assume this means: existing lines of] embryonic stem cell research.
Vice President and Mrs. Cheney, on a multi-purpose visit in Pakistan, cut short their trip so the VP could cast a tie-breaking Senate vote on deficit reduction if necessary.

I agree. As a matter of fact that is close to what I told my senator's office. We sit back and trust that what is right will prevail. I believe it is time to change that tactic.

I'm on such a tight schedule .. I need prayers .. trying to finish a complicated sweatshirt jacket I'm making for my Mom and pack .. AND I have to work tomorrow AND my shuttle to the airport picks me up at 4:30 AM on Thursday ... whew.. I'm up to my eyeball in stitches .. LOL!! I'll be snoozing on the plane I know, but I hope and pray I can do what must be done in time and not be a complete zombie.

Just got home from my son's basketball game and thought I'd stop by to say 'Hi'!

Our trip to Bethesda Naval Hospital didn't go so well. We were denied access to the Marines so we could hand out the Phone Cards to them personally, but the liaison office was very nice to us and assured us that the Phone Cards would be handed out and the Christmas ornaments would be hung on their tree.
The Security guys (Eagle Security) were very nice but strictly followed the rules, (without a patients name, NO entering the hospital). The Liaison officer actually came out to the Security Checkpoint near the front gate and greeted my brother and I and thanked us several times. All in all, it was a good experience
