McCain, Murtha, Sheehan, are you paying attention?

Never underestimate the great silent majority to choose what is best for America. God bless this country!

S'OK with me.

Maybe we need some more of them for Hollywood traitors and "celebrities" and college professors and the so called "intellectuals".

We're at war. A war for the survival of Western civiliaztion.

Pragmatism first, people's "feelings" later.

I don't like the whole 'secret prison' thing. I want to see it on pay per view.

I caught a glimpse of the start of Superman II.

Clark, after hearing terrorists were going to detonate a hydrogen bomb in Paris: Why that's terrible Mr. White.

Perry White: that's why they call them terrorists.

Had to share.

Exactly. This whole outrage over all the "spying, secret prisons, torture" is all inside the beltway gymnastics.

The general populace on the whole could care less what happens to these thugs.

Actually, I think this poll UNDERESTIMATES the support for these things--and a poll on datamining by NSA would shoe even greater support..

Reuters can bury the good news in paragraph 5 all they want, but I think a lot of America understands what's at stake. As I said on another thread, this is going to backfire on the grinches who want us to lose.

The war on terror is, in fact and theory, good will towards men.

Yeah, well, it's called commonsense. Most Americans have it but for some reason it disappears as soon as someone moves to DC.

If you caught any news last night, the MSM was in an uproar over the fact that US govt. agents used radiation detection devices around mosques and other areas of Muslim interest. (Looking for telltale nuclear leaks as in dirty bombs, etc..) God forbid the govt. protect its citizens. Of course if the President were John F. Kerry, the MSM would cheer.

They left this one out for 'obvious' reasons...

* 90 percent of adults believe that a percentage of members of the MSM should be placed in "secret prison camps in Europe, and that torture is justified either often (97%) or sometimes (76%), to make make stop lying and deceiving the American public day in and day out.

These results suggest that Senator John McCain and the large majorities of both Houses of Congress who supported his opposition to the use of cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of prisoners do not represent a majority of the public. Opponents of McCain's amendment that prohibits tough interrogation methods have called it the Terrorist Bill of Rights. Americans appear to be more in tune with the Bush Administration's goal of protecting them than their representatives in Washington.

Makes one wonder about McCain. He's appealing to the minority on his signiture issues. No less, he wants to run as a "Republican". The base of which is even more lopsided against his signiture issues. Ditto Hagel.

I'd like to know for such students of history why they have failed to understand the politics of the party they want to represent as head. Dole was a decent guy in comparison, but people didn't turn out for him. Bush 41 won election once, but largely because of Reagan's continued popularity. He lost the second round. Reagan and G.W.B. were considered the most conservative choices of their respective times and they won. Nixon did win twice, and he was a Hawk against communism. McCain probably thinks he can win just by being a Hawk against Islamfascism, except he has this pesky problem of doing more to support the terrorists then our troops or the administration. He won't wash with this base.

Democrats will vote Democrat largely. Republicans will vote Republican largely. That leaves conservatives and Independents. McCain evidently thinks thinks Arizona represents the thinking of Independents. that if he can win there, he'll take the majority of Independents and squeak by to victory. Wrong. Independents lean conservative. The rest tend to follow whomever seems to have the momentum.

The MSM will support the Democrat. Conservatives will abandon McCain. Indy's will swing to the candidate that has most support, that would be the Dem because this base hates McCain.

McCain loses. With G.W.B. out of office McCain then seeks to "get even" against the only ones he can at that point. Can't stab the President in the back anymore, it'll be solely conservatives he tries to sabotage as well as continuing to try to run the W.H. from Congress to pretend he's president. problem is that the Democrat will have the MSM, he'll be savaged by the MSM for being a "Maverick" at that point.

McCain needs to be defeated in '08, but also in '10 if he should seek another term.

More and more average citizens are alarmed about the growing islamist element in our society. Something the dims just don't understand.
