What, actually, is WRONG with Dems OR Repubs taking this guy's money??

Nothing unless it was part of a specific deal. Ex. I give you $20,000, you vote for bill x.

The point is the Democrat Leadership have engaged in a campaign of guilt by association. Very well. IF the GOP are guilty by association WHAT does that say about a Political Party that knowing they were equally guilty, tried to use this issue for political propganda? Just another example of the Democrat Party's Culture of Corruption.

What is the source for this information?

If you type in "abramoff" for last name at the FEC link below it doesn't show any donations to dims. Where'd you find that list?

"Yeahh but the question remains why is all that blue on the list being covered up by the "people's watch dogs"??????"

Actually, this is the first time I've seen this list or seen any names (other than Ralph Reed, who didn't show up on the list) associated with Abramhoff.

Something we all need to keep in mind is that this is President Bush's Justice Department that is going after Abrhamoff.  If the same circumstances happened ten years ago, Reno would be sweeping it under the rug. In fact it did happen ten years ago in Buddhist temples didn't it?

Thanks for the link to "Capitol Eye" which does list both dems and pubs taking the money but where did the numbers in your list come from? For instance, on your list:"Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) Received At Least – $12,950" but on the link you provided it does not even mention her.

Am I missing something? The list is great but I want to be able to defend every $ number against the libs who will challenge it.

Remember-The entire war on Christmas was treated as "fake" because Bill Orielly accidentally said red and green clothes were banned in Plano when it was actually red and green plates, napkins, and pom poms- as well as Religious notes on candy canes, tickets to religious events etc. etc on 144 page lawsuit. Because of 1 simple mistake all gets thought of as false -(and gets laughs on Letterman who commented on Bills "red and green problem"). Don't want that to happen with this awesome list.

This is a list of Elected Political officals, Ralph Reed is NOT an elected offical. Seems to me the focus should be on why the Democrat Party Leaders are being covered for by the self proclaimed "People Watch Dogs" in the Failed Media?

I understand the point you are making. But that does not necessarily mean that everyone of the Democrats you listed from that site illegally took money or trips or what have you in return for a favor. Just as not every Republican on that site did. So we can sit here and point fingers, but that does not really address the bigger issue. Who broke the law when they took money from Abramoff?

Nancy is such a windbag
From newsmax...
"The political ramifications of the Abramoff probe were apparent, with minority Democrats intending to make ethics a campaign issue in this election year. House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi said Abramoff's confession in court was "not a surprise because this Republican Congress is the most corrupt in history and the American people are paying the price."

However he WAS an Elected Offical and is a current political offical, Reed is not. Therefore this orgnaization would not track Reed

Don't be too concerned with being able to defend every piece of this brouhaha and all the accusations.

It's not like the left and MSM play the game that way, yaknow.

I know folks like to seek and hold the high and moral ground but perfection of argument is not always achievable initally if ever.

The DOJ could help all of us out here by releasing who exactly is or has been pegged or is being placed under the scope.

Then we could be more surgical and forceful in making the argument in each instance with certainty and not be held back from action by uncertainty.

This is coming from someone who prefers to not use a broad brush as a rule or first much less last resort as the MSM and many pundits are already doing..

"why the Democrat Part ... being spiked"

We all KNOW WHY - it doesn't fit the OM agenda that the Repubs are corrupt and the dems aren't.
