Very good question. The answer can only be that the Republicans are hiding something they fear will be brought to light if they speak up.

I thought so too, but I guess RINOs + RATs = RAT majority. Also, the fact that there is no strong leadership on the Senate GOP side that will stand up to the RINO/RAT junta, gives the RATs even more leverage.
Its not surprising the the dems want to delay the vote on Alito. Since they cannot win at the ballot box they`ll use every dirty trick they can. They never got over losing the 2000 election and never accepted the results. To say that Bush stole the election is luducrous. Gore is the ONE who started the court battle off! How in Gods name in America could we have an election contested in the courts!? And lets not forget about the chads, hangnig chads, pregnant chads ect. The dems of Palm Beach were doing everything in their power to manufacture votes. That normaly happens in an underdeveloped country for crying out loud!
