It looks like the specific provision is far more narrow than the reporting of it indicates. It's certainly not going to apply to annoying posts made on Free Republic.

And if it's not specific enough to overcome the hysterical objections to it, it will be ruled unconstitutional on the basis that it's "vague and overbroad", a well-established legal principle.

I don't know how it will turn out, but a conclusion that this is going throw a huge wet blanket of internet forums or Usenet is nonsense. That wasn't even the intent of the legislation.

Perp walks? We don't need no steenkin' perp walks!
Well.... WE don't need 'em; but like Jello, there's always room for more! (If you take a good slug of Lautenschlager Schadenfreude first. Hic.)
Now, for this first series, you'll want to put on your ZZTop records, because we've got us a sharp-dressed man walkin'!!

Now, this one brings particular, heartfelt warmth when it's viewed by us from WESSconsin (as ESPN likes to pronounce it). (Go Badgers!)
We up in Cowville call this one "High-ranking State Official Chuck Chvala (Dim-WI) doing his pencil-necked perp walk" perp walk:

Of course, be on the lookout for this clown, He has GOT to be ticked off at us. From the looks of this, he was probably in the background in some of al-sKer'ry's VN protests:

Speaking for both assclowns and drama queens (Which is which? You decide) was not easy. I hope these guys had good perp walk pictures, because all I could find was their mugshots:

I would be VERY happy to wait until they are ALL tried in Federal Court for their crimes before they come for me. What? Yes, sentenced too.

Well there is a lot of "poopy" talk here on FR even though there technically shouldn't be. (Complaints about such either get the posts zotted or the thread banished off of News/Activism.)

We've found out too often sadly that when it comes to Bigguv, it's intent schmintent. Cf. RICO.

A friend of mine once was targeted by these people -- as are most high-profile FReepers at one time or another. She gave me a suggestion: Stop reading them. She said, when you do stop reading them, *poof* they disappear.

That sounds like sage advice. I have recently been targeted by a very persistent DU-type flamer who has emailed hostile and insulting messages to my home email address. At first I made light of it and toyed with him. He became increasingly nasty and personal, and I eventually just told him not to contact me any longer, that I wasn't going to read his garbage any more, and that I had contacted his system adminstrator (abuse@***.com). We'll see what happens.
