I don't know.
Without a body, however, I don't believe the other reports either.

All this means is that we are getting very close to getting him finally and he is about to stain his whites once more. Those air strikes in Pakistan must have been closer than anyone realized.

As a symbol of his sincerity for peace with us, shouldn't he cut off his own head and hand it over?

And that's about when we should take him up on his truce offer.

Here's to raising a glass once we've killed this SOB (UBL). You've long though he is dead.(I know).... But you'll find out the truth by years end - He is very much alive but won't survive 06 -
He'll be killed in the Afghan/Pak border region right along with Zawahiri and Mullah Omar (not in Iran) - We've been slowly encircling them for years. The hunt has been much more active and systematic then 99% understand.

"Perusal of the Koran reveals that this is a strategy that is recommended when a Moslem group is at a disadvantage against a superior foe. Such a truce is to be maintained until such time as the Moslem group has built up it's forces and has an expectation of success in combat, at which point the truce is ended."
Yes, that's right. See the movie "Kingdom of Heaven" It touches on a lot of those points.
Also read "The Crusades" by W.B. Bartlett, which presents a balanced picture of the Crusades. In certain periods of time, some Muslims attacked Christian cities or castles for no reason. Other chapters deal with the Crusaders, Hospitallers or Templar Knights provoking a war.
The book also deals with how certain Muslims leaders attacked after a "truce" has "expired" or the conditions change.
Sometimes both sides in the Crusades struggle used the truce for breathing room to regroup.

You've hit the nail on the head. OBL is running scared.
To: DevSix; Dog
Dog and I have teased each other about this for years. It's all good natured ribbing.
I don't really care who is right as long as the end result is OBL's death.
I personally would like to be the one pulling the trigger, but Uncle says I'm to old and used up to be of any further help.

That's right!
This all reminds me of some dialogue in The Rundown:
"You're going to get down on your hands and knees and you're gonna beg me for a break. Well guess what? I Don't give Breaks. No Breaks."

To him 'truce' means stop shooting until such time as it is advantageous for him to start shooting again.
So... I say give him his truce, and when he makes a mistake, dares to show himself in public somewhere to his followers, then annihilate his a$$.
We can easily justify it later: The meaning of the truce as it applied to him also applied to us, no more, no less.

Maybe he saw the premier of '24' beamed into his cave!
Ain't no way we are buying the "truce" card.

So, he offers a truce in one area, while threatening to attack us in other areas. He's on the run in those other areas and now is the time to step up the pressure and really turn on the heat IMHO.
This latest attack hurt him.

Also, I think there has been a drop in sympathy for civilian deaths in the US that they were counting on. The latest protests in Pakistan don't seem to be getting any tears here in the USA. If you harbor terrorists, consider yourself a terrorist!
It's unraveling fast and I don't know who is getting more desperate OBL, AQ or the DEMS.

For every American killed we will take an Arab leader... That does not bother him. He hates them just about as much as he hates us. More maybe.
