those who are already priests should be expelled from the Church.

...and monseignors, and bishops, and cardinals

Pope Benedict doesn't seem to eager to run the Church according to what's convenient to the perverts in it.

Thank goodness!

We in the US are at the mercy of these flaming liberals bishops. We depend on Benedict XVI to lay down the law!

The NEA needs to publish: "Instruction Concerning the Criteria for the Discernment of Vocations with regard to Persons with Pedophilia Tendencies in view of their Admission to the Role of Public School Teacher, Administrator, Coach, or other Support Personnell", to reinforced NEA teaching barring adults "who practise pedophilia and the molestation of children."

I won't hold my breath but I would bet my left foot that there are more sexual predators in the ranks of the NEA as there are in the Catholic church heirarchy.

Seems to me that he had a couple of Freemasons at his funeral too. But it happens in Rome too; didn't Versace get a big Roman Catholic send-off?

Can you please give me a citation for what you say? Can you show me anywhere he was called conservative before April? Have you ever read the San Francisco Faith?

"Many are pompus asses living the good life on the labors of their flock."

They sure do come across that way. I'm afraid Cardinal Eagen in NYC is just like that, or so he appears.

The funeral of Joseph Cardinal Bernardin who died of prostate cancer some years ago featured, as dictated by his last will and testament, the music of the Windy City Gay Men's Chorus which was, ummmm, charitably speaking, NOT a Catholic group.

No kidding? That he asked for such a thing by name? That would be a scandal to any serious Christian organization, let alone the RCC.

Hopefully serving a long sentence in purgatory. There were, after all, millions of Catholics praying for him when he was on his deathbed (his dying process lasted quite awhile). Of course at the time I think most of us, not knowing what he had done, were praying that Bernardin wouldn't suffer much pain as he died. But who knows, maybe God directed those prayers towards Bernardin's soul and the cardinal had a deathbed conversion, known only to God. You gotta hope, because I sure as hell (pun intended) wouldn't want to face the Lord with a life like that on my soul.

I'm not going to do your homework for you.
I already invited you to look HERE on fr for past threads on Levada. They ARE here. If you don't want to look them up, then don't.
If you don't believe me or trust in your Pope's decision, then I don't think your mind will change.

I get the monthly newspaper that the archdiocese prints. Lol. I don't even remember the name of it. If it's the San Francisco Faith, then, yes, I have read it but if it's not, then, no, I haven't. But I don't think you care. I think you have it in your mind that Levada is a bad guy, the Pope is wrong, I am wrong and that is that. So be it. The Pope disagrees with you and has Levada, good man that he is and very conservative, already in Rome and I lived under his archbishop time and heard the man speak and read what he wrote.....conservative.
However, I'm not going to keep repeating myself and continue this obviously fruitless discussion.

Pax vobiscum.
