Former Teacher On House Arrest For Sex With Student

INVERNESS, Fla. -- A former Citrus County high school teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student has been sentenced to two years of house arrest.

Amy Gail Lilley, 36, pleaded no contest Thursday to a charge of lewd and lascivious battery of a child under 16. She also has been sentenced to eight years of probabtion.

Circuit Judge Ric Howard agreed to what he called a significantly reduced sentenced based on statements from Assistant State Attorney Rich Buxman and Lilley's attorney, Michael Blackstone.

I dont think it is a male/female thing. There was that male teacher who had sex with his 15y/o male student, was charged with rape, given 2.5 years in jail and 5 years probation, then the genius judge cancelled the jail time and the guy just got probation. Now the same sort of thing is happening with 2 females.

The whole thing is so sick. Its apparently bad to be a pedophile (unless you are in New England) but it is not too bad to be a homosexual pedophile.

Like that one clown who got 60 days in jail for raping a girl for years, in the same state, a man got the same sentence for cussing at a judge?!?!

What does justice mean? These judges are idiotic and doing a disservice to the community.

WOW! Teachers are now becoming demonized almost as bad as priests. Arent teachers controlled by the NEA, teachers union, a liberal democrat front group???? Hmmmmm, I smell a good idea for a campaign commercial and a perfect reason to support vouchers :)

No, not necessarily. Recently a male-molestor was sentenced to 60 DAYS in Vermont... like that'll scare him! I truly believe that all sentences across the board will continue to nose-dive, until molestation is just a misdimeanor.

Same case i quoted, it will go down further and further, until NAMBLA is a legitimate and household name. That is praised for being so progressive and open minded, they will be praised for opening the eyes of the masses to the "true love" that can exist, not only among same sex people, but further to Men and boys.

Its all a progression. Brokeback MT. shows us backwoods-type how stupid we were, and we should accept everyone, the judges let us know that there is no reason to punish pedophiles, (after all they can't help it can they?), Gay pedophiles get the lightest sentences of them all, then NAMBLA has bumper stickers on 2 million cars, and 45 chapters throughout the northeast.

Meanwhile, men who have sex with young boys get very harsh sentences.

Not true. Yesterdays WND had two separate instances of homo predators who got off with very light sentences for sodomy (I think) with teenage boys in their charges.

Now I know why she is under house arrest. It would be cruel and unusual punishment to see that every day in prison.

My no-brainer prediction:

This story about a gay predator teacher will NOT be in the news in Miami.

(Of course, if this were a teacher at a private Christian school, Miami news would be all over it.)
