Do you have latitude and longitude info for Google Earth viewing?
"I never heard of the Illyrians until this article"
Neither had I.

Here is the Wikipedia link. Not too much info, but I learned something.
I believe the pyramids at Caral, in Peru, have been recently dated older that the Egyptian pyramids.
The largest pyramid in the world is in (I believe) Mexico.
Seems that the second oldest pyramid is the Hellinkon in Greece dated to , 2720BC.
There are pyramids on all (habitable)continents except Australia.
Mexico has more pyramids than all the rest of the world combined. Greece has 16.
Archaeologists are actually very sure how they managed to build it. Blocks were taken from quarries in Aswan, floated down the Nile, rolled on logs to the site, pulled up earthen ramps and put in place. The techniques used were developed by trial and error just like any other construction technique. But what do I know Im not an "intellectual" apparently. My guide, the very nice Mr. Rami when I toured the sites at Giza and Memphis and actually entered the Cheffren pyramid, would be very disappointed in me.
No.

The Drowned Continent of Southeast Asia
Stephen Oppenheimer
"The biblical flood really did occur - at the end of the last Ice Age. The Flood drowned for ever the huge continetal shelf of Southeast Asia, and caused a population dispersal which fertilized the Neolithic cultures of China, India, Mesopotamia, Egypt and the eastern Mediterranean, thus creating the first civilizations. The Polynesians did not come from China but from the islands of Southeast Asia. The domestication of rice was not in China but in the Malay Peninsula, 9,000 years ago."
Many people have and have had similar views. The idea goes back a long way. The FACT remains that the various pyramids and pyramidal structures around the world were built at widely differing times, often separated by thousands of years.
I don't intend to get into a protracted discussion with you about this. However, the link you provided re Caral does not in any way indicate that the pyramidal structures there predate the Egyptian pyramids.
Yup. It's something I read recently.
BTW, a Google search on Hellinkon pyramid and +Hellinkon +pyramid turns up no results. Quite interesting for such an important site, don't you think?
LOL. I agree. I got the same results. (I'll do some looking around.)
"The oldest pyramid is that of Hellinikon in Greece, dating from 2,720 BC. There are more than 16 pyramids spread all over Greece. (See Hellenic Pyramids.)"
2720 BC

The "Pyramid" of Hellenikon
According to evidence from the excavations and the typical features of the structure which dates to the end of the 4th century B.C. and not to the prehistoric period, as some scientists have been recently willing to demonstrate. During the later years of Antiquity, the "Pyramid" was considered as a burial monument , a "polyandreion", while nowadays there is no doubt that it was a fort of the type of small strong-holds which controlled the arterial roads and which are known from other regions of the Argolid.
The World of the MayaI mentioned earlier the Maya "keepers of knowledge" who are even today left on the planet. In the book "The Mayan Factor" (by Dr.José Arguelles, 1987), I came across this: In the beginning of 1985 I was contacted by a Maya by the name of Humbatz Men. In our conversations I learned that he was using seventeen different Mayan calendars. Archeologists know about only six of them. I met Humbatz finally in Boulder, Colorado where he was giving a lecture entitled "the Astronomy of the Maya." The key part of his presentation and his knowledge was given in his concluding remarks. Humbatz stated that our solar system is the seventh such system which has been mapped by the Maya so far.
