The fan accused of harassing the wife of New York Knicks forward Antonio Davis will drop threats of a lawsuit if the couple says it's sorry, the man's attorney said Friday.
No way, Davis said.
"I'm not apologizing to anybody for anything," Davis said on a conference call. "I don't think that my wife did anything wrong, I don't think that I did anything wrong."

Axelrod's [the Fan's] father, David, is a prominent Democratic political consultant in Chicago who has worked with Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton and Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley.

I'm about ready to dash off a letter to the NBA telling them they went WAY overboard in suspending Davis for 5 days.
You think Davis is the good guy?
Have you seen the video? The guy in the stands was just sitting there and Davis's wife went berserk and jumped up and got in his face. The guy was the one that called security, not Davis's wife.
It doesn't matter who this guy is--you don't need some player's wife jumping up and hitting you in the face during a basketball game.
His wife has a history of getting in other people's faces. Players are supposed to be severely fined and/or suspended for going into the stands.
I saw the tape. She was up screaming n his face while he was signaling for security.
Democrat or not. I hope he sues this overpaid moron AND the NBA.
A dimocrap, harassing a woman and suing thereafter claiming victimhood after the woman's husband "looks" at him??? Too good to be true. They cannot make up stuff like this!
The wife only turned around AFTER the verbal abuse - profanity, etc, etc. Been there and done that, in another forum and another situation.

Apparently this is a mother-nuturing thing for you.
You climb into the stands, you get sued or jailed. Period.
Did the video you refer to show the wife hitting the guy in the face, as you say?
Got a link for that?
Agreed the white dude was being the ass, and only quieted down after the black woman got all up in his grill. He knew to sit down and shutup when her husband came up there. To Davis' credit, he didn't show up throwing haymakers. His wife may be a loudmouth, but it is his wife. Kudos to him for standing up for his family. The rich white Democrat needs a a'whooping.
We can look at the whole tape and ask what Davis would have done if he had perfect information. But he didn't. He saw the possibility that she might be in trouble. A good man stands up for his wife. Maybe it was a mistake, but no one was hurt. The whole matter should just be dropped.
WHy would he call security? Doesn't pass the smell test.
Can anyone post a link to the video? I've seen it dozens of times, albeit while drinking coffee and changing diapers early this am.... IIRC the video doesn't show what the initial cause was.
I honestly can't remember; I haven't seen the video in a number of days and I've looked for it on the Internet for a minute and I couldn't find it. Regardless, the video supports the fan's version of the story.
You wouldn't call security if you're sitting in the stands and a stranger gets into your face and starts yelling and sticking her finger into your face and hitting you?
The son better get back on Hillary's plantation before he is exposed as a racist!
Do you know for a fact that he was not yelling obscenities within earshot of the players children, (as has been reported/).
He probably was, I don't have a reason to doubt that. That sort of stuff happens a lot at sporting events. Pretty much every game I go to, actually.
Well first of all, why did the woman get into his face and start yelling, sticking finger in face and hitting? There must be a reason. People don't do that without a reason.
Secondly, I would not call security unless unless I feared for my safety or I thought I needed to make a huge deal of her actions in order to obscure my own.
A grown man does not call security on a screaming lady.
The guy who goes into the stands and begins beating up a rowdy fan gets 7 days... and this guy gets 5 days?
And then the harasser wants the woman's husband to make a donation to a charity that tries to prevent violence against women and children!
BWAHAHAHA!!!!!
Where do they find these people?
