Abortion on demand should be brought up as a legal question in every state. Then when we have the majority, the states should petition SCOTUS to overturn Roe v. Wade on the Constitutional basis of right to life.

This is the one republican "issue" I've never understood. Granted I'd advise people against abortions in 90% of the cases you ever hear about, I can't picture BANNING the procedures.

At some point conservatism is supposed to be about freedom; how do you figure somebody who lacks legal control over the use of their own body is free?

"how do you figure somebody who lacks legal control over the use of their own body is free?"

You weren't clear. Are you referring to the baby or the mother (I would use this term loosely in this case)?

How can a sliced up body be considered freedom?

It's just a waste of time anyway. I think the measure to define humans as existing from conception is a good idea, though. That was the problem with Roe; no one ever bothered to define what a human actually is.

How can being forced to bear a deformed child or being forced to bear children for rapists be considered freedom?
