1pm est- The Right Hour : Where are conservatives headed? Thats the question that three well-known conservativesJohn Engler, Tony Perkins and Frank Gaffneywill each attempt to answer in 10-minute presentations on the direction of the movement after President Bush leaves office in 2009. Engler, a former governor of Michigan, has been president of the National Association of Manufacturers since 2004. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a former police officer and television news reporter, Perkins is now president of the Family Research Council. Gaffney, an assistant secretary of defense under President Ronald Reagan, founded the Center for Security Policy in 1988. Free Congress Foundation Chairman Paul M. Weyrich will chair this event. Host: [Paul Weyrich]
2pm est -Talking Politics and Law : With the final vote on Supreme Court nominee Samuel Alito just days away, join Curt Allen as he discusses the politics of this contentious confirmation battle. Joining Curt will be Dana Milbank, the renowned Washington Post political reporter who has been covering the Alito fight; Sean Rushton, executive director of the Committee for Justice, the leading organization devoted to putting constitutionalist judges on the federal courts; and Dan Gerstein, former senior advisor to Senator Joe Lieberman and author of an intriguing Wall Street Journal article on his partys ineffective performance at the Alito hearings. Can't think of a dumber reason for tuning in than this.
Rightwingers aren't out to nuke anyone.
If anything, they are the reason so many idiots are leftists.
This is about as much fun as kissing your sister.
Sounds like a bunch of shills. Let's hear from elected Conservatives.
I guess you two haven't been conservatives for very long... that or you two have no clue what a conservative really is.
bttt! good show, BobJ
Thanks for posting this, Bob J. Advancing the conservative agenda is what Free Republic is all about. Although you wouldn't know it from some of the threads and replies being posted on FR lately. Instead of FReepers posting so many articles from liberal outlets that do nothing but advance liberalism abnd Democratic Party propaganda, I'd enjoy seeing more meaningful writings from the conservative persceptive.
Thanks. Too many neo cons who don't appreciate those who were fighting the good fight when we were getting our asses kicked.
Paul Weyrich is called "The Godfather of Modern Conservatism". Now that we are winning regularly some newbies demand balloons and clowns with their conservatism.
Thanks for listening!
Guess yer cheeks off.
Do recognize vile, passive aggression when it raises it's cowardly head.
Preaching to the choir probably accomplishes many things...mostly unmentionable.
Knock it off
I saw this show on C-span. Very good! Just too short and they had to rush their answers. I'm very impressed with Frank Gaffney. Will look for info from his group and any articles he put's out.
Conservatives are heading towards limbo because both major parties have told them to stuff it. I been there for awhile now.
